“Nothing Special - Overrated in Trip Advisor!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 April 2014

This is really a fish shop where you can get soup and sandwiches to take out. It is not a restaurant. We had lunch from Captain Kirks once during our two week trip to Naples, and in spite of staying nearby, didn't feel the desire to go back. Regarding the sandwiches - the fish was good but the sandwich on the whole was plain and boring!

“Fun spot to grab a bite”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 April 2014

Stopped in for the first time yesterday. My Tuna salad was excellent, and the husbands stone crab was very good as well! The atmosphere was unpretentious and welcoming, I felt totally comfortable in my shorts and t shirt. The staff was friendly and helpful when I asked questions about the various fish. Our family travels to Naples once a year, we will definitely be back next year for a second helping.

“skip the tables, head to the park”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 April 2014

Had lunch at Captain Kirks last week. Excellent stone crab! loved the fish tacos (really large portions - 2 tacos) The tables are really small there and we were 5 people, so we headed to the park across the street and snagged a picnic table. The park is easy and the tables are spread apart, so much more private.

“White tablecloth prices at a fish store”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 April 2014

I have been to Captain Kirk's a couple of times per year the last couple but recently went there and .got fleeced. I had my usual stone crab claws which were more expensive than eating them at a high end Naples restaurant., and my wife has a fish sandwich. Both were ordinary at best and our bill with bottled water was almost $100. They used to sell crab claws, stone crab and other at a small premium to other fish markets but you could sit at one of the small outside tables and eat, now the tables are the same but the food costs more than a high end restaurant.
Definitely the last time I will go there, and there are many better places to eat.

“A real find in downtown Naples”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 April 2014

We live in Naples and at least once a week either get fresh seafood to go to grill at home or our personal favorite - Garlicky Shrimp - to take to the beach. You cannot beat the freshness, selection or quality. If they don't have something you're looking for, it's because they couldn't get it fresh. Great lunch menu too btw. We highly recommend it!
