OK. I've eaten pizza in NYC, Atlantic City NJ, Rome, Venice and Naples Italy. Any restaurant can get the right ingredients and put the right recipes together properly. What cannot be controlled is the atmosphere. This is where the crust issue comes in. Atlantic City is often said to be one of the best places on the planet to bake pizza crust. I cannot disagree. Even Italy does not do it better. Naples FL does not have the same humidity, water or barometric pressure that the Jersey Coast or NYC has. Give L'Appetito a break. They work with what they got and do it very well. The sauce and toppings are very fresh, of good quality and well prepared. The mozzarella cheese stretched for over a foot when taking a slice from the pan. I Liked the way they sautéed the onions and mushrooms a bit before baking the pizza. You can't beat Northeastern Coastal pizza, but I for one won't fight the traffic to get it.
