There is a private parking with room to park cars, boat, truck, trailer or RV. This house/duplex is located in one of the most popular seaside destinations in Naples with World renowned beaches, the mile-long stretch of white sugar sand at Delnor-Wiggins Beach and Vanderbilt Beach has been rated among the best beaches in the nation! Two beach cruise bikes are provided. For more than than 25 years, Dr. Stephen Leatherman ('Dr. Beach') has reviewed, evaluated and rated beaches and coastal areas throughout the world.  Two of his selected beaches for 2015 are within a mile from the house,  Delnor-Wiggins (ranked #9 )and Barefoot Beach (ranked #2). Both of these beaches are rated by Dr. Beach within the top 10 best Beaches within the USA. Vanderbilt Beach and Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park boasts one of the most pristine stretch of beach in the world. Every day, this tropical beach paradise beckons visitors to partake in vast peaceful views of the Gulf of Mexico, and experience the many shorebirds and wildlife that gather here every year. Visitors arrive to this park to sunbathe, snorkel the reef, hike, bird-watch, fish, picnic, and search for seashells on a daily basis. There are specific areas designated for anglers to drop their lines in the northern areas of the park for trophy catches. Boaters will also find the launch area into Turkey Bay easily accessible for most vessels, in order to experience the delicate natural estuaries of the Cocohatchee River, leading out to the Gulf of Mexico. Guided tours on the beach occur on a regular basis by experienced rangers and volunteers. Kayakers can enjoy paddling through estuaries and scuba divers can explore the hard bottom reef in the Gulf. Get in - Regional Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers is 25 miles/30 minutes drive or from the house. Air Berlin, United Airlines, Air Canada, American Airlines, United Express, Spirit Airlines, Jet Blue, Frontier, Delta, Southwest, and AirTran Airways are among the airlines that fly here. Climate - Naples has a subtropical climate, with temperate and generally dry weather from the late fall through late spring and hotter and more humid weather in the summer through early fall with typical tropical thunderstorms in the late afternoon giving way to sunsets. The best way to get around Naples is by car. Alternately, you can bike and make use of the extensive bike lanes. Fishing - Naples has many experienced guides to help you catch that trophy. But if you want to explore on your own, there also are plenty of marinas and tackle shops for boat rentals, tackle and advice. And, if you would prefer, there are places where you can fish without a boat. Some of the more popular spots are our rivers and the Delnor-Wiggins Pass Park and Naples Pier. Many people also fish the canals , especially where and when the tidal currents are relatively strong. The beaches can also be productive, especially at dawn and at dusk. Whether your preferred technique is fly, spin, plug or bait, you will enjoy fine fishing in a great environment.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

Good location
Rental was part of a house in an older residential neighborhood. There were a couple single speed bikes available, which were adequate given the relatively flat terrain in Naples. It took about 15 minutes to ride to the beach at a relaxed pace. The bike could be secured (your own lock) at bike racks at the end of Bluebill Ave (name changes to 111th Ave and Amokalee Dr as it goes east). From this access point, one can walk Vanderbilt, Bluebill and Delmar-Wiggins beaches. Alternatively, one can use paid parking. Probably the $6 per day fee at Delmar-Wiggins is most convenient. The rental is minutes away from a number of restaurants and grocers. My favorites were First Watch for breakfast or lunch (closes at 2 pm) and Whole Foods. The kitchen in the rental is well enough equipped. The single bedroom is good for two. There is a fold out couch in the living room. The negative there is that the single bathroom is only accessible through the bedroom. Central Naples is about a 15 minute drive south on Tamiami Dr (Hwy 41). I mostly spent my time at the beaches, so did not often go into Naples. Overall a pleasant experience for my interests.

Seniors in Naples
Joseph was super accommodating and really worked hard to find the best possible location for us but, in the end, I think we're too accustomed to a bit more senior-friendly housing. The three apartment ranch house we stayed in was small, especially when our kids came for the week. It did have a running area for our dog, and Joseph did a nice job of rehabbing the space. We spent most of our time at the Delnor Wiggins State Park and drove there several times a week during the monthlong stay. We found a "Cheers" like restaurant, The Deep Lagoon, within walking distance and also enjoyed many happy hours/meals there. Joseph's cleaning gal, Lynne, is super efficient and did an amazing job. She even took our dog out for us when we were gone! We went to Naples because so many of our friend winter there, but sadly (not knowing the area when I booked) they were all at least 35 minutes away. Finally, after hearing what everyone else had paid for their luxury accommodations, I think we spent too much on this particular rental. Next year we leave the dog at home and book closer to our friends. If you are a couple with a pet, Joseph's rentals are a good spot for you.

Thank you for emphasizing the positives of our home. You rented a 1 bedroom home which is in a residential area and not a retirement community. The home is deeply appreciated for its efficiency and great location to beaches, shopping and restaurants which are within less than 1 mile! The fact that your friends were living further inland could have easily been avoided by yourself. You opted for Beach proximity in peak season. Yes, you can have more attractive rentals further inland an in out of peak season. Thank you for your kind words about our cleaning services and more.

Just what we were looking for.
Location was perfect for our trip. Wanted to be within a few minute drive to the beach. The home was very clean with a nice size kitchen and bedroom. Perfect for the two of us. First time renters through a booking site and transaction was smooth, no issues. The owner was very prompt replying to all of my messages and was very helpful. Would stay here again.

Comfortable home
The home felt nice and comfortable. The kitchen was really nice. The bedroom was good to sleep. And the bathroom was nice. The home is better suited for not more than two people in my opinion. Though there is an inflatable bed that was made available to us, it was rather uncomfortable to inflate and deflate every time. There is not much space in the living room for it, thus making the home feel a lot smaller. My suggestion would be to get rid of the table and chairs that is directly under the TV. Replace the two sofa chairs with one nice sleeper sofa. This would give the place an appearance of more space. The kitchen already has the island surface area with the stool chairs, more than enough for a family of four to eat. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Thank you for your kind words and descriptive suggestion about the sofa and table layout. We provide an air mattress and cods in the tradition of Airbnb which is another website we use to promote our vacation rental home. We provide this in case our tenants travel with guests or children. We are delighted that you found the home nice, comfortable and that the kitchen was really nice.

We enjoyed our stay in North Naples very much
Pros: large, well-equipped kitchen/living/dining area Large bedroom w/ walk-in closet and king-size bed. Great shower in the bathroom. Small, private side yard with patio table and chairs. In a quiet neighborhood of small homes, but close to main drag, with shopping and restaurants close by. Two beaches within 5 minute drive; two more within half an hour. Joseph is a friendly, helpful host. We liked the place and would stay again. Cons: Advertised to sleep 4, the place sleeps only two unless you put the 3rd and 4th guests on air mattresses on the living/dining room floor. With the bathroom accessed only through the bedroom, that might not be great. To get to the grill you have to go around the house into the backyard of the second apartment. The bathroom was not very clean.

The one-one-bedrom home is actually designed for 2 adults and 2 children. We have attempted to adhere to the Airbnb tradition of an air-mattress. We have currently added 2 cods to the unit, and are considering 2 rolling beds was a replacement option. Your comments have been decisive in making a better option available for additional guests.

About the neighbourhood
Naples Travel Tips Naples often brings to mind high-end shopping and world-class culture for travelers, but this family-friendly destination draws in thousands of nature and beach lovers each year. Plus, the area's desirable climate means there's never a bad time to visit. Naples' history dates back to the late 1860s when Roger Gordon and Joe Wiggins arrived. Then, in 1887, Walter Haldeman and his associates purchased the town and began turning it into the Naples we know today. Celebrities including Thomas Edison, Harvey Firestone and Gary Cooper all made a visit here, so this place has been attracting visitors for some time. You'll see the city's preservation of its past and the steps Naples locals are taking to keep it a top vacation destination for many years to come. Naples Activities and Attractions The city's location on the Gulf of Mexico means it offers plenty of beach access. There are 22 access areas in the Naples area which means you're guaranteed to find a relaxing place everyone in the family can enjoy. Whether you want to build sand castles, go for a swim or try out a new water sport, Naples is the place to do it. Some popular spots for a little fun in the sun include Parkshore Beach, Hideaway Beach, Naples Pier, Sanibel Causeway Beach and Lynn Hall Memorial Park. Naples is also in close proximity to the Florida Everglades and Ten Thousand Islands National Wildlife Refuge. Everglades National Park is the largest subtropical wilderness in the U.S. and protects the habitat of thousands of endangered animals including manatees, crocodiles and panthers. Ten Thousand Islands is also a national park and a nursery ground for a number of marine species. Visiting Ten Thousand Islands means you can explore places such as Turner River, Sandfly Island or Halfway Creek. The Naples Zoo and Caribbean Gardens is the perfect place to take the kids during your stay. A ticket to the zoo includes a primate expedition cruise, Meet the Keeper series, Alligator Bay hand-feeding fun, all animal exhibits, Safari Canyon Theater Shows and the historic tropical garden. Animals at the zoo include lions, kangaroos and monkeys as well as more rare creatures such as the Asian deer that barks and eats meat. You'll want to visit historic downtown Naples during your vacation. Winter visitors first started to flood the area in the 1930s at Fifth Avenue. When the city was in its early beginnings, there were only a few businesses downtown at the junction known as Four Corners. The occasional car would pass by and the train depot was built just a block away. As more visitors stopped in the city, it blossomed and the residents of Naples wanted to preserve the past so future generations could see where it all started. Things to Do in Naples Shopping: Naples is well known as a shopping destination and something you'll have to experience for yourself before you leave. The top spots in the city are located along Fifth Avenue South and Third Street South. Some of the stores you'll find on Fifth Avenue include Back of the Bay Boutique, The Wind in the Willows, Kay's on the Beach, Julie's of Naples and Island Trends. Third Street South has been a shopping mecca since the 1930s. In this historic part of the city there are stores selling apparel, art and antiques. Dining: There are restaurants, cafes and bistros throughout the city that will satisfy whatever type of food you're craving. Third Street South and Fifth Street South remain the hot spots for dining locations but don't be afraid to check out some stops off the beaten path. When you meander down Third Street, visit places such as Handsome Harry's, Sea Salt and Jane's Cafe. Restaurants and cafes on Fifth Street include Bistro 821, Chops City Grill and Altin's Cafe and Grill. Golfing: The Naples area is known as the 'Golf Capital of the World,' due to the more than 80 championship golf courses that are found here - obviously, you will have to problem working on your swing or finding a fairway. There are more holes per capita in Naples than in any other community, so don't forget to bring your clubs. There are a number of public access golf clubs and courses including High Point, Panther Run, Rivera, Vanderbilt, Links of Naples, Golden Gate and Cypress Woods. Historic Sites: Among the various historic sites in the Naples area is the Naples Seaboard Air Line Railway Station. This depot is located off Fifth Avenue South and was constructed in 1927. The Collier County Museum restored it as the Naples Depot Museum and features railroads, dugout canoes and a swamp buggy. You can visit the Naples Historical Society's Historic Palm Cottage, the former summer home of Naples founder Watler Haldeman.
