“Exactly what I was looking for.....”
Reviewed 12 July 2009

I would like to have stayed in downtown Naples but the hotels were over $100 + a resort fee. So, I turned to Trip Advisor to find a hotel. I have to say that this hotel is a great find. It is exactly what I needed. The room is large, clean, quiet, and had a comfortable bed. The selection of cable channels is more than just your basic cable. The pool is heated - almost a little too warm. The breakfast was plentiful - waffle maker, fruit, bagels, danish, toast, cereal, and hard boiled eggs. The front desk clerk was friendly and suggested the Miller Ale House for dinner. We enjoyed a delicious dinner that was very reasonably priced. The next day we sat on a beautiful beach on Marco Island. The only hang-up was the ice makers. We tried several ice makers before we were able to find one that still had ice in it. (Everyone seemed to be doing the same thing as us - filling their ice chest for a day at the beach)

Hint: The hotel is huge and can be seen from the main street. However, the turn-in for hotel is difficult to find. There is a very tiny sign that points the way. The driveway is right after the Burger King.

I am a repeat customer. I use it when I visit the in-laws who don't like AC in their home. The location is great right off exit 107 on I75. You get a nice breakfast with 3 waffle machines, mystery eggs, spicy sausage patties, cereals, bagels etc. That is worth $25 a day for me. The only complaint is that they need new mattresses as mine was kind of lumpy. I got the room for 4 days for $220 tax incl on Orbitz making use of their $50 coupon. Every other hotel in Naples was at least $100 a day. If not for the bed I would give them 5 stars.

If you are traveling there in the near future I would book the 2 bed rooms so you can jump into the wife's bed if yours is lumpy.

The reception area had seen better days and the receptionists were unfriendly and unhelpful. The floor near the lift was wet, the smell in the lift was unpleasant but not as unpleasant as the corridors where the carpet did not appear to have been cleaned for some time, and never near the skirting board.
The room itself was clean, well presented and quite comfortable.
Breakfast was inoffensive and offered a reasonable selection.
This hotel would benefit from updating and a good deep clean. This staff would benefit from attending a customer service course!

Okay, so I would have liked to have stayed right in the centre of naples on 5th street but hotel prices were quite steep for hotels right on the beach or on 5th street. When I looked around on trip advisor I found this place. After staying there I can recommend it , so long as you are happy with an edge of town location where you have to drive to the beach.

Likes:
Easy access to main highway (but dont worry, its not too close!)
Large rooms as its an edge of town hotel.
Safe feel despite edge of town.
Warm, large swimming pool.
Large car park.

Dislikes:
Not so much of an issue but:
Finding it- nearly missed it! its just behind a couple of petrol filling stations. Easy to find once you know where it is but at first the road system to it isn't the easiest.

Hot tub- unfortunately I have to report that when I switched on the spa several cigarette ends spewed from the 'drainage' hole in the spa. I'm not a Monica (Friends) ie cleaning freak, but it was a bit yukky when the cigarette ends floated out. That said- the main swimming pool was lovely, clean and warm. May be the problem is that no one hardly ever switches on the bubbles - as the 'ON' button is hard to find- see 'hints' as below. Don't let this comment put you off staying here! as the rest of the hotel and pool is clean and it is only a small niggle as the rest of the hotel is good and why i scored it 4 out of 5.

Hints:
To switch on the spa in the hot tub find the two buttons on the wall facing the swimming pool- the buttons are not visible from the hot tub!!

If you are going to the beach drive into the centre of naples to around (approx 3rd street) where the pier is- there is a larger car park where you can put notes into the pay and display machine. to stay longer I say this as most other places along the front the pay and display machines only take quarters per 10 minutes or the big hotels charge a high parking fee to use their car parking lot. Try the public car park adjacent to the pier instead. The beach was lovely- nice sand and not too busy.

This was our second time staying at this hotel.
It was great both times.
There are a lot of families with young children, so it can get noisy around the pool.

Picked BW as we have been using them recently and found them to be a nice chain with terrific value and amenities for young kids. Let me just say that this place could have much potential to afford family travelers with a GREAT value if they address a couple things. The Good News: we paid $125 for a first floor room that came with hot breakfast. The breakfast was nice...plenty of dining room so that guests weren't squished into a small space. A couple nice touches were the hot make your own belgian waffles and the eggs & sausage patties. The eggs were prefab round yellow discs like an egg mcmuffin type and the sausage altho nuked were pretty good. Our six year old scarfed them down. The pool needs a new marsite coating, but the hot tub was fully functional and perfect to relax in on an overcast morning that was a little chilly. The Bad: Our only gripes had to do with the room. We had a kitchenette which was fully outfitted with stove, dishwasher and full sized fridge. However the room smelled moldy and we had to run out to the local CVS and get an air freshner. We also found out that the fridge sounded like a 747 trying to climb out of a stall when it tripped on. Wow was it noisy. We made it thru the night, but with a little attention to these items we would have rated the stay higher. All in all there are hotels closer to the action and priced similarly. Chekc them out first before commiting to BW.

Family of 4 stayed here March 18-21, 2009. Room was comfortable (included a full kitchenette). Very quiet at night and location is convenient to everything in Naples/Fort Myers area. Nice pool area. Breakfast is good - typical buffet with hot and cold offerings.
