“An Excellent Stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 March 2011

I have been to Naples several times and have always stayed on the Beach at the Edgewater, but it was booked, and very pricey due to spring break. I traveled this time with a girlfriend, and we wanted to be close to 5th and 3rd Streets, so I did my research. We decided on the Bayfront Inn given the great reviews it has received, the location and the price (GREAT PRICE), even though I thought I'd be disappointed that there are no balconies on the rooms. Once we arrived, I was sooo pleasantly surprised on how cute this boutique hotel is, and the service was great. The outdoor bar near the pool is so great and the $10.95 buffet breakfast, also set up in the outdoor bar area was such a bargain in a very nice atmostphere. The outside are is very lush with plants and palm trees, just gorgeous, being on the small marina. There is live music (in the evening) right near bar area on the weekends - very nice touch. Location was great. We could have walked to the nice shops (Tommy Bahamas, etc) and beach, but treated ourselves to a very short cab ride ($6). Highly recommend staying here. Nice place, great location and service for a very reasonable price. Oh, and excellent mattresses and bathrooms.

We were looking for a place in town to be able to walk to restaurants and shops rather than spend our time on the beach. We were also looking for a place on the south side of town to be closer to the Everglades for a day visit. Frommers raved about this place. Although it was perfectly fine in terms of comfort and we had a nice view of the dock, the noise from the traffic was substantial and we used the A/C rather than open the window at night. Otherwise, I would recommend it. It's a bit of a walk to restaurants and shops, but not bad if you like walking.

First time traveling to Naples with my husband and was unsure as to where to stay for best location and price. This by far was worth "taking my chances."
The parking was great, they offer three different locations and we never had a problem finding a place to park. The elevators were a subject a lot of people have complained about which I honestly have found that regardless people will always find something to complain about it. Were they slow...yes but the elevators worked just fine for us. You have to remember you're not staying at a "chain" hotel so there are not a lot of elvators to use, there are 2 for the entire hotel. I think the longest we waited was max 1-2 minutes. The front desk people were nice. The rooms were nice, cold air, comfortable beds and spacious rooms. The pool was nice, it was packed while we were there but we were able to get a chair. The outside bar area is really nice. I night they have a band across the way that you can sit outside, have a few drinks and listen to free music. They do offer breakast buffets and I believe it's about $12.00. From the looks of it, there was not a lot to offer so we passed and moved onto one of the many restaurants to choose from in the area. Check out was easy, no hassle. They have luggage carts which definitely came in handy. No valet parking but the parking was all within close range from the front doors. They do offer a shuttle service but again we didn't use that. There is also a Extreme Sports (I believe it's called) downstairs that you can rent bikes, boats, water activities and etc from. That was a very nice convenience and they were friendly and glad to assist us. We rented a bike for the entire day and it was $18 I believe.
All and All great location, great (reasonable) price for the location, clean rooms, and friendly staff.

They really have done a beautiful job in renovating this hotel, the last time I was there it was still part of a "chain" what a world of a difference. The personal touches in the rooms were lovely, and we felt right at home. We traveled for a wedding, but had lunch and cocktails several times while staying. The bar staff was very professional and outgoing, they were full of suggestions and ideas for nightlight that we never would of known of! The front desk always had a driver ready for us whenever we needed to travel anywhere at night. The only couple downfalls of the stay is the door locks and only having two small pillows! We were locked out of our rooms nearly a dozen times, because of bad key cards or we were told the battery could of been low in our door card reader, but other guests we were with had the same problem, so hopefully they replace the door locks! The bar prices were great, not to mention it's overlooking the water, with a great musical couple playing music on Friday night!

I stayed at the Bayfront for three nights during a very busy time, the St. Patrick's Day parade festivities, with four colleagues. This was our fifth year staying here during the same time period. Every year has been a good experience, but this year's was especially so. Unfortunately, I became ill with the flu the first day I was there and the staff, particularly Kat, the concierge, went out of their her to make me comfortable, including making a trip to pick up medication, locating a medical center, calling me a cab, etc. The facility is also spotless, including the veranda and bar area. I highly recommend the Bayfront.

The hotel has pros and cons. We stayed in a standard 2 queen bed room, overlooking the bay- which was pretty. The room was average- there is a blind at the window which lets in light- proper curtains would be better and would look better. Not sure carpet was very clean in the bedroom- we seemed to have constantly dirty feet.
The bathroom was tiny. The shower needed re-grouting around the base- it was mouldy.
The pool was very warm (a pro) but there is a lot of road noise at the pool (it is on a junction) and it is tiny. No umbrellas either at the poolside.
Parking was good. Cookies in reception (home-made) when you can get them.
Staff are pleasant -but you have to sign for everything, including pool towels. Never had that before!
The beds were extremely comfortable.
Although we had a good time, I would not stay here again.

The location was perfect--walking distance to the downtown shops and restaurants, and centrally located to the rest of Naples, including the beaches. The only issues were some problems with the elevator on several of the days we were there, and on Friday night there was some very loud music that was hard to avoid. The staff was very accomodating and the housekeeping staff did a great job. The bar was a great place to relax in the evening, watching the boats come in to the marina.
