We have just returned from a week's stay at the Park Shore Resort and found it to be a good value for money option in what is an expensive town to stay. The accommodation was exactly as described on the website and is well maintained and clean. The pool is lovely and warm and despite the usual early morning 'sun bed baggers' with towels it was usually possible to find a corner of sunshine. Our only disappointment was that the 'pub' closes very early so if you are hoping to find some on-site entertainment and a meal in the evening you won't find it here - by early we mean 7.30 p.m!
All in all a good place to stay especially if you have a young family.

The grounds are beautiful (just as pictured) staff was very friendly and accomodating. The unit was quiet, clean with the exceptions of a few ants. It is not centrally located, had to drive to everything including the beach. Al in all a good value for the area.

Let me clarify...The word "resort" is somewhat misleading. Yes there is a nice warm pool--clean and well maintained. Yes there is a 4 person hot tub--small but clean and warm. No, they aren't open after dusk - we're supposed to be getting ready for night, night at 7 pm. Yes there are 4 tennis courts, volleyball and shuffleboard - not well maintained nor well located. That about wraps up the resort portion of our review.

The truth is this is an older property (30 years +), a portion of which was taken over by Sunstreaam Resorts. Before renting out their building, new carpets were laid, new kitchen and bathroom cabinets/counters/appliances installed, along with new furniture/fixtures/drapery. What couldn't be achieved by all of this window dressing was to move the location and rebuild tired buildings.

A portion of the property abuts the back of a shopping plaza. If you've ever driven 'round the back of one, then I don't have to explain what you'll see/hear. For those that haven't - truck trailers, truck deliveries, garbage bins, electrical equipment - everything that you need to run a variety of retail stores. It's not that I have anything against plazas, I just don't want to see it/hear it while at a "resort". It wouldn't be so imposing if at least half (or more) of the master bedrooms didn't face them. Although all balconies face the lovely interior (as pictured on the internet), when you have single pane glass in all rooms, your will hear deliveries at 7:30 am - ahh the resort lifestyle.

As I mentioned earlier, the buildings are tired. Washrooms are barely big enough for one person at a time, the plumbing will shake on certain water settings in the bathroom, the air conditioning.heating unit has only one fan setting - jet noise, the unit contained water heaters do not supply enough hot water for four showers of five minutes each, there are garbage bins all over the parking areas, the tennis courts (one net ripped - all courts showing age and neglect) are sandwiched between the back of the plaza mentioned earlier (4 truck deliveries while we played for 2 hours), and a low rise apartment building with little or no greenery. Oh yes, did I mention about the single pane of galss between me and the couple walking to the elevator at 7 am that made me bounce off the ceiling out of a deep sleep? Sounded they were in my room!

In sum - clean units and public areas. Reasonable price for what you get (and don't) - at least in low season. Management/front desk helpful in solving those issues which they can solve - house cleaning, directions etc., but unless you physically move the property or demolish the buildings and start all over, this will never be a "resort" in my book. Now does the title make sense?

We have just returned from a week at the Park Shore. The accomodation exceeded our expectations, fully equipped kitchen, good sized bedrooms and bathrooms. The screened balcony is ideal. The accommodation and the resort itself is very clean and well maintained.

Publix supermarket and restaurants about 5 mins walk away.

Just one point to note - the Island Pub opens from 5 pm to 9 pm Monday thru Saturday and closed all day Sunday. Not sure if this arrangement changes during high season. It didn't prove a problem as there are a number of restaurants close by.

Would certainly visit again.

We arrived from the UK in mid august for 2 weeks and had a delightful break.

The accomodation is very nice, clean, exactly as described and was a good size condo and the actual resort was perfect for our needs. We have 2 kids (11 + 14) and they were able to use the pool all times of the day and evening. The resort is very well located, close to the shops and only a couple of minutes drive from the beaches.

The local area is full of interesting things to do, from kayaking in the everglades to shopping in 5th Avenue or at Macy's.

Overall, we were very pleased and would use this again

First visit and many more to come!

My husband and I chose this resort for our Honeymoon. One bedroom condo. It sits in a very clean quiet neighborhood. Walgreens and Publix are w/in walking distance; would not recommend KMART. It was very trashy and the employees very rude. The Resort does not offer breakfast at the Pub which doesn’t open until 5:00pm but Perkins is w/in walking distance and serves good breakfast. The Rooms are clean and spacious with two full baths (his and hers!). A full updated kitchen- ceramic top stove, large microwave, dishwasher, full sink, refrigerator and all the utensils/dishes you should need. Nice dining area and living room. there was even a couch with a fold out bed pretty much in a separated room that could be closed in. Patio was huge. There was no washer and dryer in the condo but one just around the corner. Pool was pretty decent except on the weekends-a mad house! You have to expect that, with being a family place! Hot tub was small but relaxing. Grounds were pretty nice, with waterfalls throughout and a huge pond with turtles and ducks and a boardwalk stretching across the resort. Check out the lights at night by the office-nicely decorated trees and bridge. They have a nice deck for just laying out if you don’t want the pool and also a nice area for grilling. The beach is located downtown 10-15 mins if you want to go by the pier or 5 minutes to the left of the hotel- I’ve heard you can get refunded for parking but there is plenty of free parking as well.

We spent a week in a de luxe apartment (no 330), and had a nice week in Naples. The apartments is only a few minutes from the beaches by car, and there are shops and restaurants close by.
The apartment was clean, large and well equipped. The beds were ok - but a bit on the hard side.
The complex has a nice pool, a beautiful garden and some tennis courts. The staff was very helpful, and did their best to make us feel welcome.

We felt that we had very good value for money, and we will definitively stay at the hotel again if we're going back to Naples.
