Our 5 day stay at Park Shore Resort was our second visit here in the past year. We have developed a preference for condo or suite style lodging as we enjoy the extra room compared to a normal hotel room. Park Shore is not the Ritz, but does provide comfortable, spacious and clean accomodations with lovely grounds. There are some nice touches such as full kitchens with granite counters, 2 bathrooms per unit, large balconies or lanais overlooking the interior lagoons and landscaping, plenty of parking, top rate toiletries, beach towels, low-cost rental of beach chairs and umbrellas, and free computers in the lobby. There are some deficiencies but none that will ruin your stay, such as : no breakfast served on premises, no elevators in the 2 story buildings (only in the 3 level buildings), no in-room internet connections, no washer/dryer in the units.
Another nice thing about this hotel is the close proximity (1 block) to a supermarket, drug store, and several restaurants. The beaches are only a few minutes away, as is Venetian Village Mall. All in all, a nice place to spend a vacation.

My family and I returned to Park Shore Resort last week for the second time in two years and were again very pleased with our stay! We booked directly through the resort and were able to communicate with the resort's staff via phone before arriving. Darlene was a gem! She booked us a more updated 2 bedroom/2 bath with gorgeous views from the lanai. Darlene and the lobby staff were always helpful with any questions and they were always pleasant and smiling.

The condo was clean and updated, and the staff was extremely attentive! Housecleaning came a bit early on our first morning, and I asked if she could return later in the day. From that point on she arrived at that same time each day, which gave us the opportunity to eat a leisurely breakfast before beginning our day. The lttle touches (such as remembering that I didn't want decaf coffee pods but liked the regular coffee or washing out the few pans left in the sink) really stand out.

The restaurant/bar food is excellent! I don't remember it being so good during our last visit. Our steaks were cooked perfect, and the burgers were thick and juicy! Try the smoothies! Yum! On Monday nights, a nice jazz band played until about 8pm and Reggae on another evening.

I did play some tennis and there were usually other guests that were looking for doubles, so we could play almost anytime. The grounds are clean and well-kept, although the only pool is rather small for the number of units in the resort and it can be difficult to find a lounger midday. The lobby is a nice place to sit and relax, or use the laptop (the lobby is wireless, although the room are not). An activity sheet in the lobby or on the lobby board was informative if you were seeking out other activities.

One of our major reasons for returning is the location of the Park Shore Resort. We could stroll to the local strip mall for pizza, chinese food, drugstore, supermarket, etc. However, when we returned to the resort, we still felt like we were away from it all.

While the location is nice, the thing that bothered me was that on the Sunstream website, it states that there is high speed internet access from the 2 bedroom suites. All there was was dial up! When I called the front desk, I was told, "Well, we haven't had any complaints"! Come on! I was in the area on business, and I never would have stayed there if I had known that the rooms only had dial up. The misleading information was maddening.

We've stayed at this hotel several times and have had only minor bouts with small ants in the kitchen. This time however, after five nights of heavy cockroach activity each night in both the kitchen and the master bedroom, the staf appolgized, admitted they knew of the problem and moved us (and paid) for the rest of our stay at the beautiful Bella Serra resort across town.

It was disgusting and we'll never stay there again.

When you first approach the place, it looks like an aging apartment complex. But once we settled in, we enjoyed the overall setting. Nice landscaping, great meal at the restaurant. It has a much more secluded, peaceful feel to it than a traditional hotel. We had a pleasant stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the Park Shore Resort recently. The location is perfect - there is a grocery store, drug strore, restaurants, etc... all within walking distance. We even walked to the beach a few days, although it was a good 20 minutes. The resort was very quiet, nice pool, very friendly staff, and we had a very nice two bedroom condo. It was great to have the free email in the lobby. In the evenings, we would sit by the pool and enjoy the live entertainment from the restaurant on site. It was very relaxing, and a great spot to stay with our two young children. We will definately go back.

We have been coming to the Park Shore Resort every summer for a few weeks. In fact, it feels like our second home. Friendly staff, clean units with wonderful lanais. Paradise in short!
