“A lovely hotel in a beautiful setting”
Reviewed 18 May 2012

A lovely hotel in a beautiful setting facing a small lake, yet just a short walk to shops and restaurants, they provided transport to the nearest beach. On the down side some of the reception staff left a lot to be desired, the bedding was poor, the blanket was torn and the sheets were past their best.
We had a corner room No.426 which was slightly larger than the other rooms; it was well furnished and had a small balcony overlooking the lake. If possible try for a sixth floor room.
The complementary breakfast was good, but on busy occasions it was difficult to find a table, and you could end up seated in the lobby. As mentioned by others the lifts were slow and prone to being out of order.
The hotel does not have a restaurant, but there are many close by, we found KC American Bistro, which is just across the road and is well worth a visit.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are larger, hiher floor has best view

The front desk staff were very curteous and friendly and housekeeping excellent and attentive. Enjoyed many conversations with Tony the bartender. Disappointed in the frozen fruit selection for breakfast...we were after all in the citrus capital of the world and just felt that offering came up short.

Room Tip: Make sure your room is poolside, otherwise the lights in the parking lot will shine in your balcony...

I had the pleasure of staying at the Inn for three nights while there for a friends wedding. The hotel staff is very friendly and courteous. Our room was clean and also had a balcony overlooking the pool area. Our room also had a fridge, microwave and a coffee maker. A continental breakfast is available for the hotel guests every morning. There is even a free shuttle to the beach, which is roughly a mile away. If going to the beach isn't your style you can lounge around the pool area at the hotel. Luckily the hotel is right next door to a strip mall that has a supermarket, pharmacy and other stores. If you plan to visit Naples I would definitely recommend staying at the Inn at Pelican Bay.

Stayed here for three nights and enjoyed the facilities. Make your own breakfast bar in the morning included a waffle station. No room service but the room comes with a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. There are many excellent restaurants nearby.

Had a lake view room with a small balcony which was quite nice. The beach is about a mile away. It is walkable but the property offers a shuttle that runs a couple of times a day. The downside is that it only holds five people not including the driver.

There is a happy hour at the small bar in the lobby and the staff is friendly. Its a nice place to stay but I'd like a few more amenities such as an on-site restaurant or room service.

While I wasn't expecting that much out of a hotel that is only $125 in pricey Naples, I was very happy with the Inn at Pelican Bay. The hotel itself was very clean and the furnishings are up to date. The room was comfy and is equivalent to a Courtyard room. The pool and hot tub were recently renovated and nice. The hotel offers a complimentary drive to the Vanderbilt beach at 10, 12, 2, & 4 every day. This is a nice feature. The location of the Inn at Pelican Bay is great. Just a short walk to the Mercado mall with major restaurants like Capital Grill, McCormick and Schmick's. Yes, the elevators were slow, but this really isn't a big deal.

Note: one staff member told me that three floors of the hotel were going to completely renovated at the end of the summer.

Room Tip: Pond/lake view room would be ideal, as compared to a road view.

This hotel is about a mile and a half from the beach - easy walk - and is relatively close to restaurants and shops. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was immaculate. Our room had a balcony with a view of the lake which was beautiful. Breakfast was good - standard fruit, bagels, breads, etc. and fresh make-your-own waffles. Bed was comfortable. Great value for the price!

Lovely Inn/hotel right in the heart of north Naples, near Bay Colony, Pelican Bay, etc.

Rooms were nice, spacious and well appointed. Spend a few more $$ on the lake view rooms; the lake and fountain are very pretty and worth the extra cost.

Breakfast was very nice - fresh waffles, fruit, hardboiled eggs, good coffee, all of which you can eat on the patio facing the lake.

Staff was very nice and helpful.

This is clearly a successful hotel, and the owners are smart enough to continue reinvesting in improvements and upkeep.

I would absolutely, positively stay there again.

Room Tip: Get a lake-view room. The view is very nice, and worth the extra cost...!
