“Unbeatable value”
Reviewed 14 June 2011

Stayed with family of 6 in a 2 bedroom suite. Location of hotel is good with many walk to options for food or groceries. Check in was easy and staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel grounds well kept with ample parking. Liked that key card needed to enter every part of building for security.
Room was clean. Beds are very comfortable and plenty of pillows. Sofa bed was spotless and linens were provided. Kitchen needs some updating, appliances old but useable. Had microwave, toaster, fridge/freezer,dishwasher and oven.
Bathroom was not as clean as I prefer, There was some noticeable dirt/dust in corners of bathroom floors, other than that I guess it was ok I'm just a clean freak! Lg hd tvs in both bedrooms and living room area, though cable reception was not great. Living area also had a fireplace but we did not use it. Breakfast was included in room rate and it was terrific. Fresh fruit, bagels, toast, assorted cereals, yogurt, many hot options as well like oatmeal, eggs, red skinned potato homefries, sausage and ham. Juice, coffee and tea are also offered. My kids loved making their own waffles! They had all kinds of toppings and condiments to compliment everything offered. Plenty of seating in dining area. It was great! Evenings light snacks were offered (mon and tuesday) along with beer, wine and soda. BBQ was offered on wednesday. At the wednesday BBQ I attended, they had the local chamber of commerce volunteers eat at bbq while evaluating the hotel and they were extremely rude. We were by the pool area with the kids and they were giving dirty looks to us...we are paying guests...how dare they! It was not hotels fault I guess but I was annoyed. Pool area was nice although smaller than it looked in pictures. Plenty of tables and lounge chairs. I loved that they provided towels for the pool! Flies are a big problem with any kind of food or drink. They were overwhelming at one point. Disgusting! Once again not hotels fault I guess. Pool itself was kind of
small, which I appreciated due to
being with 4 kids under 10 years old, they could be easily watched, it got a little crowded at one point but it didnt bother me. Of course there
were some rude, not kid friendly old people there making faces at every splash the kids made but whatever. Oh there was also a hot tub and boy it was hottt! One complaint I do have was the pool had a ring of dirt around top water line. It was not so bad that you didnt want to swim, it was gross but rest of pool was clean. On the day we were leaving they were out scrubbing it. Basketball court/tennis court supplies were provided by the front desk, kids enjoyed it. It's located right off of pool area. Hotel offers shuttle to and from local beach, I didnt personally use it but I saw other guests taking it daily. I am satisfied with the stay for the price and I will be staying again on my next trip to Naples.

Some of the negitive recent comments do not seem like the same hotel we stayed in.
Our studio had a very comfortable bed, HD TV, and full kitchen. Everything was spotless and in excellent condition. The excellent breakfast was typical for R.I. which offered lots of variety. The staff was pleasant and helpfull. We really enjoyed the midweek evening light meal with beer and wine, sitting poolside with many couples who have been returning here for years.

Stayed a couple nights and received excellent service, although the bed was too soft for my taste. We arrived early in the morning (9 am) as we had a red eye flight and were allowed to check in! We also were invited to have breakfast, however, we had already stopped to eat. We stumbled into the room and fell asleep for the afternoon. What a treat! This allowed us to catch up on sleep and enjoy the first night in Naples without being sleep deprieved.

The morning breakfasts are excellent and the personnel keep them extremely well stocked even when there is a crowd. The hotel was quiet with a decent sized work out room, kitchenette in the room and a large TV that could be seen by either the queen-sized bed or the pull out couch.

Excellent value, close to restaurants, food shops. I would stay there again.

We used our Marriott Reward Points for a 3 night stay while visiting family in the Naples area. This hotel was convenient and provided us with the amenities needed. We had a 1 bedroom suite/separate living/cooking area that had a full size fridge, a microwave oven and a 2 burner stove as well as a dishwasher and 2 flat screen TV's. There was also a nice patio area with a small pool. Front desk staff was friendly and courteous and helpful in booking dinner reservations. We found this hotel furnishings to be a little "tired" but it was very quiet, a complimentary large breakfast buffet was served each morning, plenty of free on-site parking, grounds and halls were well-maintained. There is a small exercise room, 2 free computers with a printer in a small lobby area( their small business center). We appreciated the secure felling since a key was needed to get inside any of the buildings from the outside. A short drive from the airport - less than 1/2 hour and about 20 minutes to the beach. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

My husband and I stayed in a one-bedroom suite at the Residence Inn in Naples during most of January 2011 and the first week of February. While we enjoyed our stay because of the hotel amenities and location, as well as the size of the room, I was disappointed in the quality of the room. The hotel is a franchised property, and the rooms are in serious need of upgrading. One guest mentioned to me that because so many of the guests have their dogs with them the hotel does not want to put a lot of money into upgrades. The kitchen counters and cabinets were old, and the cabinet beneath the kitchen sink was seriously warped. Our unit had only a 2-burner stove and no oven or toaster oven (but it did have an old-fashioned toaster and a microwave). I looked at several units, and none had stainless-steel appliances as in the picture on the hotel website. The furniture was outdated, and the bed was extremely soft. I requested a harder mattress but was told there were no others available. The bed linens, particularly the decorative covering at the foot of the bed and dust ruffle, appeared quite old. As for the bathroom, I had to call the hotel desk at the beginning of our stay to have the bath tub repaired because the non-skid liner previously inserted on the bottom had come loose on one end. Mold or grime had started collecting under it. On the positive side, the carpet throughout and the flooring in the kitchen were in good repair, the unit was quite roomy, and it was well cleaned every day. The hotel breakfast was excellent, and the hotel provided dinners three nights a week, including a good barbecue on one of them. The staff was also very helpful and friendly. The hotel, while not on the beach, was in a good location near shopping, including grocery stores, and was only a mile from the beach -- quite walkable in a nice residential neighborhood just behind the hotel. The hotel is a short drive north of the old downtown Naples area with its lovely shops and restaurants. There was ample free parking in town during the time we were there, and the drive (12-15 minutes) was no problem. Finally, the hotel had a lovely pool area, with plenty of lounge chairs, tables, umbrellas, and both sunny and shady areas. We had a decent rate for our long-term stay, and the hotel with its services and amenities appeared to be a reasonably good value, as compared to long-term apartment rentals in a comparable part of Naples.

We stayed at the Residence Inn twice in the last two weeks. Both rooms were clean, bed linens and towel clean and good quality. One of the studios had an oven, so we cooked every night - worked out great. The second only had a two ring cooktop - so no roast chicken. Breakfast was good, there were plenty of chairs by the pool. We liked it and would go back especially considering the price. Internet worked first try and is included. Fitness center does not have many if any weight machines but has 2 treadmills and a bicycle and free weights. Nice staff always smiling.

The Residence Inn is a great place to stay if you just looking for a convenient hotel that provides a great suite of rooms and a marvelous buffet breakfast at a very reasonable price. There are hotels that are right on the beach and if that is what you are looking for than the Residence Inn is not the place. However, the beach is not terribly far away and the hotel has a pool, basketball court, paddle tennis court and workout room. Breakfast buffet is quilte good and the help keeps it well supplied. Even has a waffle maker and batter. Downtown is not very far away, but you will have to get there by car. If you like Thai Food, I recommend Thai Basil at 2616 Tamiami Trail where we had a fine meal. It is south of the hotel on the northbound side of the avenue. The Residence Inn is a real bargain.
