Enjoyed the stay, so close to all the restaurants and shops. Room was ready upon arrival...approx. 1:00PM. (FYI) Saved some money on flight from NJ and flew into Ft. Lauderdale and saved several hundreds of dollars, rented a car but was going to anyway. Drive was about 2 hours, little boring but OK. Definitely appreciated the savings in the airfare. Breakfast was OK and was expected reading through the other threads before making the reservation. Would most definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a Balcony when booking the room.

The hotel is in an excellent location, the only hotel in Old Naples and within walking distance of two /three good shopping and eating areas as well as the beach and the fishing pier. The hotel building is attractive, with lots of greenery and flowers. Pool is smallish but as a previous reviewer said, sufficient. Room was clean with good shower. All staff were friendly and accommodating. It was very pleasant to have breakfast on the little shaded patio. The breakfast itself was disappointing. The selection was poor and uninteresting---not in keeping with the hotel. Having said that, however, they served at least until 10:30, so you could have a good lie-in or early walk and not miss it.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony facing the front of the hotel.

Our first stop after arriving at the Fort Myers airport was our hotel, Trianon, in Old Naples, Florida . Easy and efficient check in and nice room with a balcony overlooking the front of the hotel. It was convenient to everything and we could walk to all our meals if we wanted. Pool area was small, but sufficient. The only improvement would be with their continental breakfast which could use a little better selection.

Room Tip: I liked our room - it was on the 2nd floor and faced the front of the hotel which was a pretty view...

When my husband and I first arrived at the hotel, after a long day of traveling, we were anxious to get settled in our room. We were initially put off when we were told that check in time was at 3:00 and our room was not yet ready. It was already 2:30 so it left us wondering whether the staff was just not willing to bend and allow us to get in our room a half hour earlier. We do quite a bit of traveling and never before have we been turned away because we arrived a half hour earlier then check in time. Anyway we got back into our rental car and rode around until it was 3:00. The hotel itself was very pretty both on the exterior and in the lobby. The room itself was nice, nothing extraordinary, but clean and comfortable and had all the creature comforts that we needed. We felt breakfast the next day was adequate with the standard, cereal, juice, coffee, pastries etc. However after several days of the same kind of everything breakfast soon grew old. We felt they could at least changed the type of cereals at least (there were the same two day after day) or pastries... something to shake it up a little. One morning we were so tired of the breakfast offerings we decided to treat ourselves to breakfast in a café in town. Also I thought there could be at least a pitcher of cold water, some coffee and tea available to the guests in the lobby all day. The cleaning staff was friendly and thorough however some of the receptionists at the front desk were friendly and others not so much. The location of the hotel was great close to restaurants and shops on 5th Ave. Since it was on the smaller size it seemed very quaint and not as busy or noisy as the larger chains. We would definitely consider staying here again but now we know not to arrive before 3:00 or expect a gourmet breakfast.

By reading so many good reviews I feel that we missed something about this hotel.
I can say it with the great deal of irony -perhaps there are some “well-hidden treasures” that we were not able to discover.
The location of the hotel is ideal – in the downtown, walking distance to restaurants and shops on 5th Ave, and at the same time away from crowd and noise. Common areas are well decorated and spacious. Our room was very basic: high ceiling, spacious, clean room, however the balcony wasn’t really a balcony, just 1 step extension of the room facing parking lot. We did not spend much time in the room, so having the balcony was rather insignificant, however it would be nice to have the real one instead of what we got. Pool and pool area were good. Some of the staff members are very friendly; some - simply should not seek employment in the hotel business.
Continental breakfast was way too basic, but even basic things like muffins and bread could be various and a little bit tasty. Within 5 days there was not a single change in the breakfast menu.
Overall - decent hotel though overprized (on my opinion); need some improvements.
Will we stay there again – not sure.

Room Tip: Ask for the higher floor room with the balcony

My wife and I booked our reservation at the Old Naples location and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet. We were able to walk to wonderful restaurants on 5th Avenue South including Chops, Pazzo and Bistro 821. We enjoyed a play at the Naples Players Theater and visited the downtown Naples Art Center. The 3rd Street shopping district is also within walking distance. We ate at Tommy Bahama's and Campiello's. On Saturday morning we had a tremendous breakfast at Jane's and enjoyed the Farmers Market. We spent a fair amount of time at the hotels pool, but made it a point to get to the beach and Naples Pier. They say people move to and visit Naples because of "Old Naples," we think that's right. On the last night of our stay we discovered The Chapel Grill...a new restaurant just a block or so from the hotel. The bars "happy hour" was a deal and our dinner was delicious. By the way, the staff at the hotel could not have been more accommodating. The front desk people were knowledgeable and friendly. The housekeeping staff answered our every request. The hotel manager made us feel at home and provided VIP treatment. Fantastic!

We stayed seven nights in March and thought the lobby and our room were very nice. The breakfast was all carbs, toast bagels etc and a choice of apples or oranges. We ended up going out for breakfast to break up the monotony. Most of the interstate hotels give a wider variety and healthier choices. The Olsons
