We are locals that took our 2 guests to Amore. We had been a couple of times before and liked what we had. However, this time we were disappointed in the food and the service. Admittedly, it was a Friday night and, therefore, busy. It still was not an excuse for taking 90 minutes to have our food arrive. Every course seemed to take forever before anything showed up at the table. One of the specials was grouper, one of my wife's favorites. I had chicken parmesan and our guests had salads. It was not until we were on our way home that my wife started apologizing to every one about the quality of the food. Apparently, the grouper "special" was almost inedible. My chicken parmesan was OK but nothing to write home about. The pasta salad for one of our guests was pasty and hardly worthy of Amore's reputation. I only wish my wife had let me know how bad her meal was while we were there so they had a chance to correct the situation, but then it would have taken another 30 mintues of waiting before she was served. I am afraid this restaurant will be off our list for the foreseeable future.

From the minute we walked in to the restaurant it was a disaster. There wasn't a hostess or even someone to greet you upon arrival. We stood on the side of the room while every staff member passed us with a frantic look on their face while they completely ignored us. After 5mins we finally had to ask for assistance. Once we were finally sat it took 10 mins before the server greeted us. We were rushed to order before we even had a wine list. The salads we ordered weren't available but still arrived with missing ingredients expecting us to still eat them. The owner was loud and abrasive yelling across the room to specific patrons. They stuffed people in the back room like sardines despite the uncomfortableness every patron felt. Coudos to the chef because the actual dinner was delicious. I strongly advise the owner to take the time to train his staff and guarantee exceptional customer service before he tries to entertain. No bueno....

We live in the Saint Louis area, which has its legendary Hill area of Italian restaurants. That's Amore would fit right in. We wound up going twice, getting pizza (they even have gluten-free), and hand-made stuffed pasta.

Offer GF pizza and pasta, we stopped in for pizza and it was good. Seating is first come, small place but we had no wait at 7pm on a Saturday night. Service was good, our waiter was attentive and kept our glasses full. Thought prices were reasonable, $14 for a pizza and they offer some unique blends like a seafood pizza. Would eat here again.

We arrived at "That's Amore" with friends and we were immediately treated like family! The restaurant is loud and bustling but that is what you would expect! We were seated outside. The music was playing and Vincenzo was greeting each table. The food was wonderful! Pasta and Pizza was very good. Look forward to coming back next year!
