“A touch of Florida's history”
Reviewed 18 August 2014

Very easy to find, located just outside of town. You just drive right up to the ruins, no fees or anything. Very interested learning about how risky it was to make sugar.

“Great little sidetrip”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

As other people have noted is a bit difficult to see the sign. It is on the western side of the road, directly across from the junction of Mission Road. The ruins are interesting inasmuch as they do provide a great historical background at informational display areas. Takes only about an hour to view the entire site. There is a small nature trail although not much to see. They do offer a good bathroom facility. Overall it is definitely worth a trip, especially if you enjoy local history.

“A Little Tid Bit of History”
Reviewed 22 July 2014

My children were a little bored, but I found this interesting. Just some ruins of a Sugar Mill left from the 18th century. I love history, so it was a fun side trip. Keep your eyes peeled, b-c this place is easy to miss. It looks like a service road or a driveway into the woods. FREE history lesson!

“Nice find for history and archeology buffs!”
Reviewed 21 June 2014

The entrance is tough to find. The sign is small and the road looks like someone's driveway. Small park but worth checking out. We went early morning and there was no one there. Enjoyed reading the history and checking out the ruins.
