Owner description: The Schooner Ondine offers daysails, sunset sails and full moon cruises. Step aboard and enjoy a 3 hour cruise and experience the beauty that is New Smyrna Beach.Coastal day cruises combine sailing off-shore and on the beautiful Indian River. Or perhaps you would prefer to wind down the day on a romantic sunset sail.

I charted the Schooner Ondine for a group of 8 friends, and we had a great time! Pat and his crew were laid-back, helpful and even (thankfully) tolerant of a couple of people in our party that got a little out of hand.

We were able to lay out on the boat, soak up the sun and see all sorts of sea life like manatees and dolphins. Overall, this was a relaxing, fun day on the water and we would definitely do it again. ..Though next time I'll take a less rowdy group of friends!

Wow, wow and wow! From the dolphins alongside the ship, to the wonderful views from the deck, to the friendly and informative captain and crew, our cruise on the Schooner Ondine was one of the highlights of our Florida vacation. We took a day sail up and down the Indian River. The Ondine's web page says passengers can, "be part of the crew ... or relax." I chose to relax-- lying on deck and enjoying the sun, wind and water; calmly strolling on deck to absorb the sights and beauty of the Indian River; and talking with Captain Pat and his crew to learn about the river environment and the surprisingly mysterious functioning of the Chinese junk sails. I am now a Schooner Ondine groupie from afar, and I tell everyone heading to Floria that they must sail with Captain Pat!

What a treat after New York's harshest winter in years. We wanted to feel the sunshine, be on the water, and relax. The Ondine filled the bill and much, much more. Captain Pat will make the sail whatever you prefer-- sail on the river, go out to the ocean. The Ondine is an incredible boat, stable if that's what you want, but also fast if that's your thing. Captain Pat and his crew are very engaging and know everything there is to know about New Smyrna Beach (a great island to visit, close to Daytona but the feel of a small beach community). The crew respects your privacy but is very friendly if you are interested in chatting.

I loved this afternoon in Florida and I'll carry it with me as I return to the cold, blustery north!

What a wonderful way to spend a few relaxing hours in the afternoon. Those who have never "Sailed" should make a concerted effort to do so. Captain Pat & 1st mate Brendan were an extra bonus, and of course the Schooner Ondine was absolutely beautiful. Am already planning as to when we could make another trip to Florida and sail on the Ondine again.

Even with all nine of us (plus three crew) we had plenty of room! Pat is a great captain and we were welcomed warmly and felt secure. Out for the Sunset cruise and even though the sun did not cooperate... the rising full golden moon was incredible. worth the time... especially if you are staying at the Night Swan B&B!
