Totally enjoyed our anniversary dinner. Food was great, Fresh tuna salad in stuffed poblano pepper and the Conche fritter [Jelly donut on the menu] were terrific starters. Cioppino with a hearty broth with overtones of smoked paprika was very Cuban, have had similar in Miami and SanFran and not as good as Chef Henry's dish. Paella was excellent, plenty of mussels, clams some crab and scungilli and loads of shrimp-all cooked to perfection with the local tomato at least heat and still shapely. A nice anniversary surprise was a comped scoop of local ice cream with a cinnamon encrusted plantain and drizzle of chocolate sauce. Had an excellent bottle of Albarino, but do wish more more choice of scotch than Dewars without going to single malts.Like many trendy restaurants, many rums and flavored liquors, but skimpy on senior's hearty browns and whites. Service was perfect, even with a trainee waitress. Still don't like the noise level, but décor has no softness to temper music and loud talkers. Yes, we are senior citizens.
