Returning to the Riverview is like seeing old friends. The place hasn't changed much in the past few years - but has gotten much more popular. That's good for the owners and a challenge for guests. We stayed four nights but on our last night we had to move from our pool-side room to an east ground-floor room because of a weekend wedding party had reserved "our" room earlier (reserve YOUR room early if you have a desire for a specific room). Wedding groups (not the actual wedding) are very popular here and the hotel is often fully reserved on weekends for the wedding group. If you want quiet - Sunday through Thursday is the best. The Grill at Riverview is VERY popular on Fri/Sat nights and if you have a room adjacent to the restuarant be prepared for late night noise (but the aroma is great). Our room was clean and orderly and staff really do make a great effort to help as needed - don't be afraid to ask. If you want more privacy, ask for one of the three top floor room with original native pine wallboards and a nice view of the bridge, pool or streetscape. If you bring your laptop it may not connect to the internet so well but there is a computer in the "lobby" for guests. Check it out - it's a great place in a great little town.
