My kids and I did paddle yoga with Yali. I do yoga about 1x a week, but am far from an expert. It was my kids (teenagers) first time doing yoga. It was our first time on a paddle board! WE HAD A BLAST! Be prepared to fall a few times - but it's all good. Yali was terrific. She is so nice and friendly and an excellent instructor - makes you feel relaxed and comfortable and keeps it fun. Definitely worth it to try!

We have stayed at Tween Waters Inn on Captiva for two years, each time renting kayaks both at the Captiva Marina and from Adventure Kayak, the Houston family enterprise at Tween Waters. Both are good, but Adventure is closer to the mangrove tunnel on Buck Key, right across the channel from the Inn. This remarkable experience is a must-do for anyone with a paddle (or an oar, for that matter). The tunnel is a mini-Amazon, quiet except for bird calls and the paddle splash, while sunlight or clouds float in traceries across dark water. The trip takes an hour or two, depending on how fast you paddle. Go with one of Adventure's knowledgeable guides, at least for the first trip, to point out wildlife, currents, hidden objects and which turns not to take. You can't get lost, but you can end up paddling to a dead end... A round trip involves a bit of ocean paddling, enough to raise the adrenalin, but an in-and-out involves only a channel crossing. Next year we plan an Adventure custom-designed tour that takes us through and around Buck Key.

The only minus is that it's sometimes difficult to find reach someone to make a reservation. At times all the guides will be out with groups. Just keep trying.

Kudos to Yalli (spelling?) for an outstanding time! We did the stand-up paddle board Yoga while we were on vacation last week. We have visited Sanibel/Captiva for the last ten years and this is something that we will definitely make an annual event! I was a novice at the stand-up paddle board, as well as a novice at Yoga, and the instructor made me feel comfortable right from the start. No one in our group was very experienced, so don't let inexperience deter you from trying this activity. Thanks again for a fabulous experience -- the two hours flew by!

My wife and I went kayaking for the first time ever on our honeymoon. We went on a two our trip with Keith and he took us on a great time. We got to look for manatees and dolphins, search the shallow water for living shells and we even saw a BALD EAGLE! Kayaking through the mangroves was so relaxing and such a great time. You must try this out! Morning was a great time for us to go out before the water became too busy.

We were fortunate enough to stay in a cottage at 'Tween Waters Resort right next to the marina and Adventure Sea Kayak's setup.

Our first adventure was a fun and informative sea kayak tour with Keith. He took our three-generation family of five (ages 12 through 67) on a fabulous wildlife tour across open waters and through mangrove trails. We encountered hunting dolphins, leaping fish (mullet), majestic ibis, feeding osprey, fiddler crabs, tree crabs and more. Keith was incredibly knowledgeable and lead a tour that managed to be simultaneously laid back and exciting.

Keith let me know about Yali, who leads paddleboard yoga classes for Adventure Sea Kayak. My 16-year-old daughter and I spent our last morning on the island with Yali on an equally amazing yet totally different adventure.

Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga (SUP Yo) is something we both have wanted to try since we began paddling. Yali was incredibly accommodating, making this experience possible despite our limited time on the island. Yali inspired us to be "warriors" and paddle across the windy channel to a pristine cove in the mangroves where we dropped anchor and enjoyed an amazing private yoga session.

Yali is an inspiring yogi and encouraged us to attempt poses we might never have tried on our own. She offered helpful and gentle corrections, allowing us to improve our balance and overall yoga practice. (And she didn't laugh at us when we fell in the water!)

The paddle back across the channel was challenging, but Yali talked us through it and we were welcomed back into the harbor by a serene herd of manatees. Just perfect!
