We've been staying here since 2000 and just love the resort and everything about Captiva! My kids have grown up coming here each summer and we always look forward to our stays. Contact Marissa in reservations to book your stay. She's the absolute BEST!

Although the beach was nice I was told we would be facing it when I called and we were not. Several of the soda machines were broken. The beds are small not the king I was promised. I was told when I called 2 days before I arrived that the restaurant would be open but it was closed for our entire visit. There was a lot of confusion upon checking in as the desk clerk did not know what papers I was to have and wanted us to pay for the room again after we already paid the auction house for it. We almost went right back home.

Dear misspeanut5722,

Thank you for your feedback about your stay. I believe I assisted you at check in as you had a auction certificate rather than our typical donation letter our front desk staff is used to seeing. It was a first for him. All of our donation stays are for guest rooms with 2 queen beds.

I will have my staff take a look at the soda machines to make sure they are working properly.

The Crow's Nest is now open for both breakfast and dinner while we renovate the Old Captiva House which will re-open in the fall.

Thank you again for your recent stay and please do come visit us again in the future.

Kind regards,

Brett Gooch

Other than the fact Captiva is an awesome place to visit or live. Tween waters was especially awesome. Had a great weekend, rented a boat, went fishing, boated to an island for lunch, rented wave runners on the beach. Me my wife, daughter and her boyfriend and more so our granddaughter had a great time there. Will go back for sure. Two restaurants, and bar with a band at night. Family friendly and kids welcome. We had a blast singing and dancing.
Plenty to do or just chill. Only drawback is no food or drink service on the beach which is across the street. So bring your coolers. But beach is awesome. Hi there if u can. Hospitality at Tween is very good. 5stars. Clean apartment and accommodating staff. Marina, bait , tackle and boat rentals. Go and enjoy

I stayed at this hotel for a friends wedding. During this time the kitchen was being renovated and food service was extremely limited. They didn’t even have some pastries in the lobby for breakfast. If you didn’t have a car you would have to take the shuttle into town for food but it didn’t start running until 10am and you had to pay. The staff at the pool was friendly however that is not to be said for the rest of the staff. This is a quaint, cute hotel and town but the staff and the service did not meet expectations. I will not stay here again.

Dear Hollyhi12,

Thank you for your feedback!

We do apologize that our switch to the temporary kitchen did lead to an unexpected reduction in services such as breakfast. However, we did provide free pastries and coffee at 3 locations on property every morning during this process.

I am happy to say that the Crow's Nest is now open for breakfast and dinner with the Old Captiva House re-opening in the fall.

Resort was very nice. We will definitely return.. A few minor issues with the cottage upon arrival. We actually ended up staying and additional day but moving to a Suite on the bay side. We had a boat with us so this was a major plus being able to explore the outer islands.
