“Ok food, but overpriced”
Reviewed 19 August 2013

We ate here twice this visit to Captiva, it's incredibly overpriced - both food and drinks. We really had iffy service during both visits too. You will definitely receive better service if you sit next to the bar, but if you sit in the outer area next to the hostess stand, i'm afraid you will be forgotten at lunch time. I had to get up twice to get a refill on drinks, and second to share with our server (another server delivered our food) that my son's chips were broken into small pieces. The other server did get us another basket of chips after a long wait, when we were ready to close out our tab. We will not visit again unless a last resort and we do not want to leave the resort.

“Convenient, fast, and decent food.”
Reviewed 29 July 2013

If you're staying at South Seas, this is a convenient place to grab a quick lunch (or even an early dinner!) They have both inside and outside seating. It's nice to sit outside on the main level of the restaurant/bar as you can see the pools and the surrounding waters. (keep your eyes out for dolphins - there wasn't a single day where we didn't see dolphins in the bay waters on the north side of the pool complex).

For the most part, the wait staff is friendly and once they take your order, it doesn't take them long to prepare it.

Enjoy...

“unfortunate choice”
Reviewed 27 July 2013

Servers are not trained. Food is marginal and asking and getting your questions answered is a waste of time.
Quality of food not sure maybe just the way the try preparing it.
All I know is I'd never eat there again.

“Very good”
Reviewed 16 July 2013

We tried it out for dinner this time (had previously only done lunch, which has never been impressive) and had a good experience. It was our 1st night at South Seas, we spent a couple hours at the pool, were about to leave to head to our room to think about dinner, but decided to just get up and sit right down and try dinner. No wait for seating, not a long wait for food, and everyone enjoyed their meals.

We did get a couple order of their kettle chips for snacks during the day while hanging at the pool. Also very good. Frozen drinks very enjoyable....glad to see some new choices like the Flamingo Freeze and Key Lime Pie! Just wish they served larger drinks to match the price....$11 for a small drink? Ouch!

“Quick lunch option”
Reviewed 8 July 2013

If hungry and staying on this side of the resort handy to go for quick bite, with reasonable prices and food is fine.
