This resort is very special. We spent 5 nights in the Beach Nest. The accommodation is huge and well furnished. The two verandas (one screened and one open) are fantastic and the whole location is very romantic. The beach is a few steps away and is heavenly. Very quiet, loads of beautiful shells and a warm tranquil sea. Captiva is quite small and the resort is very central. Only a short walk from the island stores and a marina for boat trips. We were so sad to leave and have already booked for next year!

What a great place to spend time. Check-in at the marina was friendly and efficient; the housekeeper was apparently still at the property cleaning so we went there to get the key. She was also very friendly and did a great job of showing us our space as well as the features around the property. We stayed iin the PO Box and it was lovely. Very neat and clean and had everything we needed for our stay. And, of course, you can't beat being so close to the beach- just steps away. Would definitely stay here again.

I booked this reservation primarily based on previous reviews of Jensen's. We were looking for an old fashion Florida experience and WE FOUND IT! Captiva Island is a special place but we were most impressed with the Jensen "Family" including the brothers and all their staff. Upon arrival to the marina to check in we were greeted by Jimmy. He directed us to our home for the week, The PO Box where Kathy was waiting to give us the tour. The accommodations were perfect for my husband and I. We were very comfortable with what I would call a studio apartment with a screened in porch, small fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. We were able to enjoy breakfast on our porch each morning and lunch at our "private" beach. We purchased fruit breakfast items, lunch meat, cheese, snacks and beverages at Bailey's in Sanibel on our way to the island and then made a return trip midweek. We so enjoyed dining out each evening after bike riding, beach time and island exploring. But back to the Jensen's!!! These guys Dave, John and Jimmy are the real deal! We had the pleasure of getting to know one of them a little better than the other and we made a friend for life. Their parents obviously taught them well as they are customer service driven and so incredibly genuine. They are extremely knowledgeable of the history of Captiva Island too. One of our fondest memories was a spontaneous concert, under the Tiki Hut at the marina from the Jensen's good friends Austin and Joe. Thanks to Greg too as he was always around if we needed him! We rented a car at the airport in Ft. Meyers and drove it three times. We rode our rented bikes everywhere! We also rented a scooter one afternoon to explore Sanibel. So again..... Jensen's on the Gulf is an outstanding location right on the beach and they will take great care of you. We also were so excited to see all of the sea life, manatees and dolphins daily!! Not to mention all of the different birds. We don't fish but everywhere we looked people were fishing and catching fish too!! Go to Captiva Island and stay with the Jensen's!!!

Room Tip: Everyone we talked to at Jensen's liked their accommodations.

My husband & I stayed in the P.O.Sweet for 10 days in Feb. It was the cleanest place we have ever rented, and we loved almost everything about our stay! The only (slight) negative was the street noise, as this cottage is very close to busy Captiva Drive. Super friendly owners and staff!

We got the ground floor room. Very efficient and clean, but a little tight. Has a nice screened porch which is really right on the beach. For a night or two this place is great. If you were staying longer, it seems to me you would want a bit more leg room. But very clean--nice new stuff. Little frig. microwave, coffee. Good shower, good bed, but it felt like bed took up the whole room. I suspect the upstairs units have a good deal more room.

Room Tip: I liked the intimacy with the beach of the downstairs room. Upper rooms probably have better ocean...

We returned from Jensen's (Beach Nest) about a week ago, and were very impressed with the location, quality of the accommodations, beautiful views, and convenience. Perfect for a family (or a couple), with plenty of room to relax. Nice amenities in the house made our stay very comfortable - e.g., full kitchen, laundry, grill, screened in patio, etc. Extremely comfortable beds. Property is well cared for. Liked being able to walk to restaurants; beach access was fantastic. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for our vacation.

Room Tip: Beach Nest is very quiet and offers nice privacy.

Just had 5 nights following several weeks in Marco Island. Just what we needed total relaxation. We stayed in North Beach which was spotlessly clean, stunning views and everything one needs for a vacation on the beach. Minutes away from the ocean, beautiful sunsets watched from our balcony. Watched dolphins swimming in the sea early morning, saw manatees down at Jensons Marina. Everything you needed beach chairs, sunbeds, parasols etc. The Jenson family were great, very welcoming and totally laid back however quick to respond when one morning the wifi wasn't working and they had it back on as soon as we mentioned it. They just leave you to enjoy the peace, no housekeepers knocking early morning but if you need anything they are there.
