We stayed at the Ferry house for 5 nights B&B whilst tripping around the area.
We were given a warm welcome by the staff
The room was large double which was nicely decorated and very comofortable with an HD TV .
Breakfast ranged from a good full english with altenative such as omlettes and smoke salmon with scambled eggs. along with the normal range of cereals and fruit.
The dining room has excellent view or the river
Evening meals were form a comprehensive bar menu supplemented a by a daily specials menu.
We ate in for the five night that we stayed and found the food excellent with generous potions.
well presented. Washed down with a real ale from the bar.
to sum up Good accoddation, Good food all at a Good price

i have been to the ferry house inn on many occassions, its a very warm welcoming inn, my children have been made very welcome at all times, and also love the beach in the summer, food and drinks very reasonably priced, absolutely fabulous newly decorated en-suite rooms, (looks lovely), me and my husband stayed in room 7 for our wedding, where we was given a free drink when we arrived and the also had champagne on ice waiting in our room for us, which was amazing, food was fantastic, and wine was lovely too, worth buying a bottle, i will deffinately be visiting again as me and my family really enjoy this place!!! ******* rating.

Room Tip: rooms 5,6,&7 have the sea view (lovely)

Having read mixed reviews, i thought we would try the Ferry Inn for a very special occasion.
I cannot fault the location, the management or waitresses. The food though was absolutely terrible.
Having eaten throughout the UK in some fabulous restaurants, i knew things were off to a bad start when frozen (possibly tesco garlic bread)slices were served as a starter for my son. These were burnt and not cooked on one side. Cod and chips was shocking!!!!!!!! The batter was burnt and frazzled. We told the waitress, who returned and said the chef said if we re ordered,it would be the same. Any decent chef should be able to make good batter. Frozen fish in batter is better than the rubbish we were served. I ordered a curry. Awful!!!!! The popadom was shocking- how can you mess this up( basically the oil wasn't hot enough when it was cooked, the fish however was cooked in oil that was way too hot, hence it burned the fish) Homemade chips, not impressed and the curry was so bad! Wife also wasn't happy with lamb. We didn't want to create a fuss as the owner was great. All i can say is the fault is down to the cook. I wont call the cook a chef because the food served was what a schoolboy would serve. Absolute disgusting food at top premier prices. Please review your menu. I know its basic but if you cant get this right, just serve sausage and frozen chips.

Have eaten here on quite a few occasions and it never disappoints. The meals are always plentiful, and the homemade chips devine. Its my 8 year old daughters favourite place to eat out. There is plenty of choice on the menu and it is all very reasonably priced. Would recommend this for a lovely family evening meal.

Called in without booking whilst exploring the area and we were seated in a lovely light conservatory with views across the water.

Our group ate Whitebait, homemade soup and baked Camembert to start and we all had fresh fish for our mains served with homemade chips, peas and salad which had the lovely addition of fresh shelled peas.

Service was at a leisurely pace as they had a large group in for lunch but we were on holiday and relaxing so no rush for anything. The staff were lovely and I would definitely recommend here for a quiet relaxing lunch.
