“Dirty & unkept”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 October 2011

Good view but not worth the money. Stayed here and found the room dirty, bed and pillows uncomfortable, towels shredded, ants everywhere. The front desk staff had good recommendations for local flavor.

Room Tip: Ask for waterfront room

Stayed here recently and was very impressed with the view! Had a 4th floor room overlooking the pool/river. Sat on the patio and just watched the water - it was such a resort feel. The pool was big and as luck would have it, mostly empty. That was so nice!

The room was very clean and oversized by today's standards. There have been recent improvements (granite in bathroom). It's not a luxury hotel, but, it was a perfect choice. All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful.
They did NOT have WIFI in the rooms. They did have a "business center" that had two computers for guest use. The computers were SO SLOW! Probably not worth using...

The Three Fisherman Seafood Restaurant on the property was a MUST. The food was reasonable and more importantly DELICIOUS!
IHOP is on the property, too - so we had our breakfast there. Not usually an IHOP fan, but this location was clean, the food was great, and the wait staff were excellent. Way to Go!
Completely loved our entire stay! We'll be staying here again in the future.

Room Tip: Get a higher floor with a river view!

I stayed here for a week with my family and was pleasantly surprised. We had a room on an upper floor. The balcony was a great place to sit and look over the Caloosahatchee. The room itself was huge. It had a microwave and fridge which was great for late night snacking. The bathroom was good. It is a little noisy since it's near the bridge and the road. I'm a heavy sleeper, so I didn't mind. The entry door goes directly outside and didn't have a great seal, so we used towels to try and dampen the wind and noise, but this didn't affect my overall view of the place. They have coffee in the lobby in the mornings and is across the parking lot from an IHOP. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. They were able to accomodate us and put us on the same floor as my family. There isn't much for hotels in North Ft. Myers (which is where my family lived, so we wanted to be close), and judging by the rest of the hotels, I'm guessing this is the best one to stay at.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade at the counter.

We stayed here for 1 night as we went to 2 Red Sox Spring Training games as the proximity to City of Palms Park is a short 2 mile drive. The hotel had huge rooms with 2 Queen Beds as we were on the top floor with a Waterfront View. Outstanding view with a balcony. The room was clean. The only complaint is the highway noise as the hotel rooms have outside entrance hallway.

We stayed here quite by accident lol. Found it through a search when looking for something in Ft. Myers to stay the same night. Was supposed to only spend one night there, but changed other plans so we could stay for a second night. Can't say how beautiful the view was! The food at the on site seafood restaurant was also great, and ihop for breakfast was good too :) I suggest having early supper to get best seating at waterfront restaurant; and don't be afraid to ask for a seat near the window. They tried to seat us in the middle of the dining area, even though there were window tables available.

The rooms were huge, and biggest hotel bathrooms ever (including a window which was nice). Our room had 2 queen beds, but the view from our room (311) was one of the best in the place according to the desk staff, and when i inquired about switching to a king bed room, they were mostly behind the restaurant and didn't have as good a view, so we stayed put. A screen door on the huge patio door would have been nicer to allow us to leave it open during dusk and night when the lights are on inside.

Checking into the hotel was kind of a struggle. Was unable to pay cash due to their policy, and the would not accept my Canadian VISA debit card. MAKE SURE YOUR NAME ON YOUR CREDIT CARD MATCHES ALL YOUR OTHER ID; short forms not acceptable either. Was a good thing my American boyfriend was able to put it on his card, but was a real hassle. The desk staff was not accommodating AT ALL. If the view and rooms weren't so good, I would have rated this terribly and never wanted to stay here again.

The hallways are open to the outside, which I thought was fantastic and always took the stairs to enjoy the outside. The novelty wore off quick when we went to leave and it was pouring rain/thunderstorm and we got drenched as we shuffled with our bags to the elevator. I would stay again just for the view factor. We certainly didn't get a deal in pricing here, and felt like I overspent, but also enjoyed it a lot. Would have liked breakfast to be included for the price, however.

FYI - there is parking for a semi at the far side of the parking lot. Don't pull into the main driveway, however. I suggest backing in from the side street on the opposite side of the hotel from the water ;) Ya dont want to scratch your truck on the bushes...just saying from experience LOL

Room Tip: We stayed in Rm 311, had best view IMO.

Friends and I stayed here for a long weekend in March to catch a few Red Sox spring training games. The room and bathrooms were huge! We had 2 queen beds that were sooo comfortable - along with the pillows! I highly recommend a riverview room.. it's beautiful! The first floor pool view rooms are also really nice. They have a cool restaurant on site called 3 Fisherman, with a pool side bar. The pool is nice, but there aren't nearly enough chairs. People go down early in the morning to save seats, so you've got to get down there by 8:30 and save your seats! Overall I really liked this hotel and would recommend it.
