“1st Timer Family Visiting”

This was my first time visiting with my own family.
I grew up in FL and often visited here when i was little, so i wanted my children to experience it.
It was very disappointing for my entire family which made the best out of it.
Thank god i had only purchased the tickets thru Groupon for the Zoo and Putt-putt.
Their Animals were poorly kept in the Extremely HOT weather for FL within cages.
After the Zoo we were not going to attempt to do the Putt-putt so we went into the Air-conditioning.
The gaming area needs updated to the times but the animal displays were unique!
Zip-lining was not worth my kids doing at all since it was only 1 line for $9.00.
This is in FL where there is a abundant supply of shells no matter what beach you go too.
Yes they have a large selection of X-LARGE shells but not worth what they are asking!
Most of the stuff they have in the gift shop is NOT so unique you can't find in other gift shops.
The Christmas Store Section area WOW....VERY OUT DATED!
Maybe they need to look into some decor and display ideas to better the look of the products!
They do have bumper Boats and restaurants that we did not take a chance with.
We will never visit here again, so be aware before you go!

This is a great place for kids and adults. Very relaxing nature trail. Very reasonable and has a lil bit of everything. We used coupons to save. There are so many places to go in Lee county that break you. This is not one of them. If your looking for a nice day for the young or old I say go here. We are glad we did !

We visited for the 1st time after hearing others visit. Good thing we did not purchase tickets ahead of time, as all boats were closed due to water maintenance. The ticket lady said they were honoring tickets for that on a future date. Can't imagine if someone did not live nearby! We had to buy zip line tickets at the bar. How weird is that? $8.50 for 1 zip line ride. We did nothing else but leave. Stores looked run down from the outside. Bumper and paddle boats were closed. Zoo seemed dumb to my kids as it advertised dinosaurs... um, right. Glad we did not purchase tickets online. They had fun on their 20 second zip line ride and that was it. What a waste.

“Don't waste your time.”

This is the classic tourist trap. The "shell factory" is a huge warehouse full of Floridian nick-nacks. The "nature park" is a small outdoor zoo. Do not buy the alligator food, because the fish just eats the food and the alligators do not care. They also have a run down paddle boats (which were filled with ants) an old firetruck and cars to take photos with.
We went with my 3 year old niece. She looks at everything with bright eyes, but she whizzed right through this place.

“Terrible visit”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 July 2014 via mobile

We would not recommend a visit to The Shell Factory. Below average facility. Drunk couple still being served beer at the mini-golf course. Not worth the stop or the $$$$. The only thing we enjoyed were the birds in the nature park.
