You cannot go wrong at Portovino. This is a restaurant run by un Toscano who lives to serve fresh authentic cucina italiana the way it is in Italy not Brooklyn. This is the real deal and it's a family affair, mamma and brother shuttle back and forth to help in the kitchen, often bringing the freshest ingredients with them. Make it a point to come during truffle season, tartuffi bianchi are the best!
This is a host that would rather serve 25 dinners a night done correctly than 50 with reheated pastas. So comwe when you are not in a rush and want to enjoy a truly wonderful meal made with love!!!
