We enjoyed every dish we ordered. This is a good place for vegetarians. Most of the dishes can be order with tofu instead of meat, poultry or seafood. Ambiance is not that great reason while I give it a four, but food, service and value are worth the visit!

With all these sushi Thai food we have tendency to think that sushi was made in Thailand. No Panya Thai is an authentic Thai restaurant and does not have sushi. All dishes are rather good, with adequate spices. Prices are reasonable and service is friendly and good. Nice to come back every time we are in Miami.

Arriving at Panya Thai in North Miami Beach didn't know what to expect. What a pleasant surprise. The food was better than any Thai I had ever experienced. Each dish had the unique flavor that it should have. The service and attentiveness of the servers was attentive and appreciated by all. Attentiveness without "pushiness." Inside, in a small strip mall, they have updated the restaurant and done it well, The only downside was a loud and bothersome little boy who was not "controlled" by his parents. Can't blame the restaurant for that.
First Thai restaurant that can compare with the best of Bangcock.

After reading the Miami New Times review of this place, we had to check it out. Even after not being impressed with the ambience after walking in, we still said, "Well, the food is what is important, let's try it out." (A horrible Thai rock was blaring, it would've been fine if it was on low.)

We ordered a roll (some roll, can't remember which one one) and the papaya salad. The roll we had to send back, it was disgusting and inedible. The breading for the roll was soggy and the lowest quality, tasteless dough I've ever had in "fine dining". There were even cheap pieces of what seemed to be ham (looked like pink goo mystery strips). When asked what it was, the waitress said it was Thai sausage. We still laugh about this. Google Thai sausage and let me know if you see anything bright pink, I'm still looking. They quickly replaced it for spring rolls which were okay.

The papaya salad was not the freshest. The shrimp were tiny, dried out and cheap. The vegetables thrown in were also a very bad quality and some were not even edible.

The pangang curry sauce was good but the chicken cuts were cheap and stringy. The service people were friendly. These were the only redeeming factors. A good quality restaurant however, should be impressing patrons throughout the meal with their food quality, ingredients and not just a good sauce and friendly face. The cost of the meal was absurd for the quality of the food.

I went after reading all the positive review and was really not impressed by the food! The place is nice and waiters helpful but the quality of food is not impressing at all. Ricky Thai is much better.
