I have used Adventure Times several times. First to rent kayaks to see if I wanted to own one, but also for my son's birthday party.
Located on the Earman River in North Palm Beach, Adventure Times provides excellent water based fun. Technically, though, the Earman River is actually a canal from Lake Okeechobee, so don't get visions of an idyllic shaded river. But also don't let it dissuade you. Adventure Times provides all the equipment you need to go for a kayak trip, either through the residential waterfront areas of North Palm Beach, or across Lake Worth to Munyon Island and the estuary there. The Munyon Island area is a true back-water estuary filled with birds (especially in the winter), fish, and even dolphin. Great snook fishing. Near Adventure Times itself the water generally has loads of eagle rays. There is so much to see. The owner and crew at Adventure Times are friendly and very, very helpful. They fit you with a proper life jacket, and even put the kayak in the water for you. The kayaks are all a year or less old, I believe. They sell the used kayaks once a year (that is how I bought mine). Never kayaked before? No problem. A few quick lessons and you are off.
Bring lots of water with you. Florida sun and exercise will drain you quickly.
