“We enjoyed a blissful and enjoyable night at this Doubletree Beach Resort”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 September 2011

Thanks to Lauri and the staff. we had a very enjoyable and pleasant stay at this Doubletree Beach Resort Hotel in Tampa Bay-North Redington Beach. From the moment we entered the resort until the moment we left, if we needed any type of assistance it was promptly provided. The room was gorgeous and the view of the ocean from our room was breathtaking. If you are considering staying in North Redington Beach FL check out this beach resort hotel.

Room Tip: Let them know that Harold from HaroldSays referred you and definitely ask for a beach front view.

Friendly front desk staff. Warm chocolate chip cookies! Large rooms with refridgerator and coffee (pod) in room. Cost extra to stay on Gulf beach side so we didn't--were not offered an upgrade even though HHonors member and hotel not full. No breakfast included. NO free internet access in rooms--SHAME. Had to go to lobby to get free access.

This was our first stay in a Hilton property of any sort. I was concerned it would be a little stiff and stuffy for the kids, but actually, it wasn't. It was a great family-friendly hotel.

All of the staff were very welcoming. They went over and above by allowing us an early check-in when we ended up in town several hours earlier than we anticipated. That was a HUGE convenience for our family after such a long drive.

They do employ staff that regularly ensures everyone on the property is actually a registered guest. I have read complaints about other properties being overloaded with non-guests, and I am grateful that our experience was preserved by such attention to detail.

This property is right on the beach, and we were pleasantly surprised with the abundance of wildlife surrounding the hotel. There were tons of birds, dozens of stingrays, dolphins, crabs, and much more. The sunsets over the pier are absolutely breath-taking. I am fairly certain they are the most dramatic sunsets I have ever experienced.

After a day on the beach, we spent the evening in the pool. We brought all of our own toys for the kids, but they do have a collection of toys that can be used by guests on the beach. I thought that was a wonderful touch.

The room itself was very comfortable. The beds were great and the furnishings throughout the hotel were unique.

They do offer a variety of services that were out of our price-range, but they do rent chairs and umbrellas, have onsite dining choices, a tiki bar, and an extensive room service menu.

All in all, we paid a good bit more for this room than we normally would; but for the area, the fact that it was directly on the beach, the quality of the accomodations, and the friendliness of the staff, I feel that it was definitely worth the value.

I am quite pleased with this property, and I am very glad we stayed here. If ever in the area again, we will return.

Room Tip: The Gulf front rooms are well worth the modest price difference.

We really enjoyed our stay here on our honeymoon. We walked into our oceanfront room with balloons and a congrats card with a free drink from the tiki bar. Thanks Doubletree!

I will definitely stay at this hotel again. I was there for 12 days and my stay was perfect from day through day 12. all of the staff was great from check in to check out. The house cleaning was impeccable. The restaurant food was also good. The beach area was beautiful.

Room Tip: Rooms on north end are quieter and good view of sunset.

My wife and I were looking for a hotel in the Pinellas County suncoast beach area that was not too crowded for our Labor Day weekend getaway. It had to be family freindly since we were bringing our teenage daughter and a friend of hers. The Doubletree Resort North Reddington Beach was a good choice. We were a little tired of the crowded resorts in St Pete Beach, Treasure Island, Clearwater Beach, etc, so this place was an attractive alternative. The rooms were spacious and clean. The service was excellent from the time of our arrival. The staff was very courteous and gave us some great suggestions on dining options, whether it was the restaurant on the resort property or places close by. The actual beach was not very large but since the area was mostly residential or private rentals the beach was not crowded at all and in good shape. The restaurant on the property offered a nice breakfast buffet during the holiday weekend which we enjoyed very much. We liked the place as a whole and will definitely consider it for futer beach getways.

This was our first time staying in the area. We usually stay a little more north in Clearwater or straight over to the other coast.

Upon check in they are so friendly- offering warm baked cookies, asking us about plans, etc. One of the most personable front desks to date!

The room was beautiful- clean, modern and nice decor. The balcony was perfect! When they say a beach front balcony, they are not lying! I would book this hotel again straight up for that balcony!

We did not explore the area on this trip as we were in need of some R&R more than anything. We did enjoy the tiki bar, and the bartender was really great. Made some strong delicious drinks, carried conversation, it was what we needed.

The sunset view is AMAZING from this area!

Overall, it was wonderful and we will definitely be back!

Room Tip: Balcony rooms were great- no complaints, no roof views, etc.
