“Lovely hosts, stunning views, beautiful decor!”
Reviewed 19 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

The cottage was beautifully presented and extremely well maintained. It was a real home away from home with gorgeous vistas, undisturbed tranquility and plenty of things to do around (especially useful for families with children e.g. zip-wire, tennis court, large trampoline, tree house, bikes and scooters to be used with permission, and PLENTY more). I had an absolutely fantastic time in Little Apple Barn Cottage, the owners were always happy to assist. The cottage itself was very well equipped and there were no issues at all. There was Wi-Fi, with great speed considering the rural surroundings, TV, and a bounty of lovely treats to welcome the guests on arrival. I can't recommend it strongly enough! Utter bliss!

“Beautiful light filled cottage”
Reviewed 13 January 2016 for a stay in December 2015

We wanted a beautiful cottage to spend Christmas near our family and friends - we live in France. Little Apple Barn was perfect. Warm, beautifully fitted out andvery well equipped. Many windows and sliding doors filled the cottage with light. Plenty of room for our full sized Christmas Tree.

Good value for money. We would definately stay there again.

“Lovely place for children and walkers alike”
Reviewed 8 January 2016 for a stay in November 2015

Little Apple Barn is a delightful cottage with a lovely terrace overlooking the countryside. It is a treat for children, hens padding about, sheep in the fields and an amazing set up for all kinds of activity. Our grandchildren visited us and really did not want to leave with zip wire, trampoline, football, tree houses, electric cars, gypsy caravan and many other pursuits.

There are many, many walks in this area which could finish at one of many very nice pubs. Yet, despite all the country pursuits you are still close to a station and a quick trip up to London. Very many attributes.

Andrew and Katie are excellent, very friendly hosts and are extremely helpful.

“Perfect tranquility 32 miles outside London!”
Reviewed 29 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We used Little Apple Barn as a base to visit old friends in Sevenoaks. The view from the main window is perfect to wake up to. The house is spick and span and tastefully furnished, Andy and Katie have thought of everything! We particularly appreciated the emergency supplies left out for us. We had a wonderful walk around Plaxtol & Shipbourne, visited Tunbridge Wells and Dover Castle. Our kids are 11 and 13 and there was plenty of space for them to sleep on the fold up beds. However when they went to stay with our friends for the night and we had the place to ourselves we realised what a perfectly romantic location it would be for two!

“The perfect place for a family holiday”
Reviewed 20 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

In the heart of the Kent countryside, far away from the madding crowd, but close to London and close to the coast, with a wealth of activities for children of all ages. It sounds idyllic - and it is. Your children can run around in acres of space, play on zipwires, trampolines and gypsy caravans, or just check out the sheep, chickens or rabbits. They'll have fun, and they'll be safe while you relax. And there's so much to do nearby - if you can muster up the motivation to leave such a place.
But what really makes this a special place is the welcome and attention from the owners, Andy and Katie. Maintenance and cleanliness in a beautiful cottage you can take for granted - and everything listed is there. But on arrival we were also greeted with everything you need for the next day's breakfast plus wine and chocolates, which certainly helped with getting a good first night's sleep.

Andy and Katie have 5 children themselves, so you don't need to worry that your little monsters will cause too much bother. And amazingly, despite running this wonderful property and looking after their own family, they still have time for you, and are always friendly, helpful and available if you need them. They have also produced excellent brochures on local attractions, child friendly pubs in the neighbourhood, walks etc.

We have stayed in many holiday cottages in different countries with our 3 children, and we've never before found a place like this. We all loved this holiday, and we'll be back next year...

“Total relaxation in a lovely setting”
Reviewed 3 June 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Little Apple Barn is perfect for a family break with kids, set in wooded countryside in Kent, lots to do for the kids, including trampoline, zip-wire, electric cars, not to mention the all the pets to see, chickens, rabbits, sheep! The accommodation is superb and so well set up that you'll feel you're at home within 10 minutes of arriving. Owners are lovely and could not have made us feel more welcome. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Thanks for having us!

“Just pack babies nappies and leave the house- everything is ready waiting for a perfect family countryside holiday”
Reviewed 13 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

I remember what it was like packing the car full of everything possible that we could ever need for a holiday with small children - but our Applebarn holiday was just heavenly for ease - everything is provided, highchair, cot, washing machine and tumble dryer, extra freezer space for purées, play areas and tree houses for older children, bottle openers, crockery, ironing board, hairdryer, everything - just bring some clothes and wine!

Applebarn itself was modern, fully kitted out, comfortable, clean and had a gorgeous country cottage feel, opening onto rural farmland, we were woken by the sounds of pheasants in the morning and watched the sunset with a glass of wine down the unspoilt views in the evening - heaven.

Lovely owners, extremely helpful and welcoming, local area has weekly farmers markets at Shipbourne and great country pubs, cant recommend a stay at Applebarn highly enough.
