Well worth a visit - dolphin show is amazing, as is the sea lion show. The mako and manta rollercoasters are awesome. Word of warning - the river rapids ride (can’t remember the name) you will get wet. When I say wet, I mean jump fully clothed into a pool wet - trainers and all. Consider this if you are taking an Uber back to your hotel!

The staff was not personable. The food (fried chicken sandwiches, which we got for free with the all day dining deal) was terrible. For some reason, the information kiosk guy said we HAD to go try them, because they were better than Chick Fil A and Popeye's. Well, they weren't better than ANYTHING, it turns out. The dolphin encounter was great, but very short (expectedly). The aquariums were minuscule compared to any aquarium you've been to. Never got to go on the rides (we were there for the sea life) but they looked fun. The one rollercoaster we waited in line for was down for repair. We never received announcement of it being down; we just had to deduce it from the line not moving and by listening to others mention it. The shows were very good and it was cool to see the animals and how intelligent they are. The people in the shows were very cheesy, but you can live with it. Perhaps worst of all, the park layout was hellishly counter-intuitive. Certain paths would dead-end. Certain paths would not circle back to main areas. Certain attractions and shows were far, far out of the way, secluded with nothing good near it. And the map never seemed to reflect the paths you were navigating. Hire a cartographer or something, because jeez man. And the physical signs with arrows that pointed the direction of where each attraction was, always seemed to be pointing at an odd angle making you really have to take a moment to figure out if you were going the right way. In one instance, we followed the arrows to get to an attraction (we had given up on the map) and they ended up leading us to an arrow that pointed back the way we came. I then gave up on the arrows and resorted to asking staff "excuse me, where is such and such" for the rest of our visit. None of these things were a problem for us at Disney World or Universal. Overall, the park was just depressing, underwhelming, with little to enjoy, and several frustrations and obstacles to a smooth and fun time.

We are sorry to hear you are not fully satisfied with your recent visit. Our Guest Services Team would have been happy to assist building an itinerary for you that would hit the attractions that interest you and optimize your time. We regret we missed on this opportunity to improve the quality of your experience and apologize for any inconvenience it had on your day as a result. We trust your understanding that some of our paths are blocked due to the construction site of a future ride. On a positive note, we are pleased you had a good time exploring our shows and exhibits.

Sincerely,

The Shows, Rides and information here is just so enjoyable
You can have a hectic day on the Roller Coasters or a relaxed leisurely day at the shows with some food

We love SeaWorld despite the critics. There is some great animal welfare and rescue work done here that doesn't get enough coverage and it's also educational too in terms of the marine wildlife. However, with all the historic issues being foused on the parks are moving more towards the rides and coasters. Manta is superb and takes you to within a whisker of stomach churning with the g forces. The Kraken (now Unleashed now removed where you had the Virtual Reality element which took it to a weird and wonderful new level). Mako is truly magnificent. High, fast and so smooth. The new water ride is Infinity Falls and you do get very very wet. The only downside here is the management of the queuing - there is none. When you get to the cars it's more or less a free for all and cars leave with sometimes a quarter of the seats unfilled as no one is managing the queue properly - although to be fair this time there were very little queuing at any of the rides, even the new Infinity Falls, as we were there first thing in the morning. Unlike all other parks the parking was "free" and had been included within our tickets so no $25+ fee every visit.

We only visited for one day, but had the best time. We went on the sunday and my son loved trickle treating (included in the entrance price). The rides are brilliant and my 8yr old was just tall enough to go on them (54inchs), we purchased a SeaWorld drinking flask and paid just over a dollar to refill it which was great as it was so hot. To go on the fast rides we had to put our stuff in lockers (2 dollars). My son has an allergy but we found it easy to eat in one of the restaurants. They were very helpful and his food was made out back so no cross contamination. Would def6spend more time visiting next time, we loved the Shamu show. Next time I would book for my son to see, touch and have his photo taken with the dolphin.
