Owner description: "Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, one of 2 Water Parks in Walt Disney World Resort, features one of the world's tallest and fastest free-falling waterslides, as well as slides and rides for the whole family—like a kid-sized, snow-castle fountain play area with scaled-down versions of the more thrilling attractions.

I think they loved it so much because it's a little quieter than typhoon lagoon. Loved the ski lift to the top of summet plummet too! Easily spent a day here, plenty of shaded areas around the kids play part and free sunbeds too! Food was quick serve and ice cream was good too! It's also a quiet place that characters do visit so make sure you check who will be turning up before you visit- don't wanna waste park time queuing in the heat of the park when you can meet them here!!

I felt that Blizzard Beach is looking like a tired version of its best self.

The kids had fun but the rides are old and the park in its entirety is looking old and tired.

Also we came across some pretty miserable staff in the kiddies zone...something we never encounter with Disney.

Great park & best parking of any park! Easy to maneuver. A few tips...
1. Wear aqua shoes if you have them. If not buy them. I went barefoot and my feet were dying. Also, lots of plantar warts stuff going around! I missed that thank God!
2. Wear a rash guard/SPF type shirt. Yeah, yeah. I know...they’re a pain. But you WILL forget to reapply sunblock. This is the smart way to go.
3. Get a locker. This was our 2nd visit. Last time here our pool bag was stolen, rifled through, and turned in to lost & found. This year we got the large locker. Just $15 for whole day. Smart move! Well worth the money.
4. Hit the popular rides early! Lines back up & concrete gets hot. Sure, they wet the concrete but not everywhere. Do the plunge rides early.
5. Lazy River is a “must do”. Mostly shaded & relaxing. Great for tired kids or anyone that needs a break from the sun.
6. Weather - Use your weather app to plan. Lots of thunder & lightening the day we went. The deal is they close rides for 30 min. after a lightening strike within 5 miles. If you see a storm is moving in, you can count on a good 30+ minutes off from rides. Use that time to get lunch, reapply sunblock.etc.
7. Enjoy yourself!
We had a great time. We’ll be back.

We took our soon to be 8 yr old and she loved it. The rides were more suited for her age than Volcano Bay was. The water park was very clean and everyone was very friendly that worked there. We got there when the park oped around 10;10 and got close parking spot and didnt wait in line for our tickets. It was midweek in June. We also didnt have to wait in lines untill around lunch so I would suggest getting there when it opens.

We were in blizzard beach this past weekend celebrating my cousins 13th birthday. We rented a cabana for 6 people and although it was pricey it was so worth it. Renting the cabana allowed us to have a safe place to keep our belongings without having to worry about anyone moving our stuff.

We had our own attendant, Ashley, who was so incredibly friendly and professional. If we needed more towels, she would bring it. If we needed more water, food, sunscreen, anything, she would bring it with a smile.

We didn't have to worry about finding a shaded spot because our cabana was shaded with a giant umbrella and multiple chairs.

Renting the cabana really made our visit even more pleasant.

In regards to the rides, there are rides for everyone! My 2 year old daughter thoroughly enjoyed the little tikes area and the adults had the option of enjoying anything from a lazy river or a thrill ride such as summit plummet.

Highly recommend this park for everyone.

The only downside I can think of this weekend was that the park was temporarily closed because of weather for about 2 hours during our visit but it was out of Disney's hands because they can't control the weather....or can they?!?!?!
