Reviewed 17 February 2012

We just completed our second stay at the WorldQuest Resort, and have had excellent experiences both times. I simply do not see where there is a better value in this area. We love this place because it provides all the comforts of home. I could not believe how spacious and well-equipped the units are. For our recent stay, we had a 3 bedroom unit, and it was huge!! Both of our boys had their own bedroom, and we had a full master suite! I loved having drinks on our screened in lanai each day after crazy, hectic days in the parks. We had a beautiful view of the lake and the pool. We also love this property because it provided calmness for us at the end of our crazy days in the park. This is a not a resort where you will find theme characters, etc. If you are looking for that, then definitely stay elsewhere. We appreciate a place where our children can unwind and leave the overstimulation of the theme parks behind. We don’t need Mickey Mouse on our hotel room walls.

There were several specific things that make me think that this property is the best you could do in this area. Here are some of them:
The Spaciousness of the Units: Each unit is 2 or 3 bedrooms. They are the size of a fairly spacious apartment, and come with fully equipped kitchens, a screened in lanai, a full sized washer and dryer, 2 full bathrooms (one of them with a jetted tub!). Each evening, my husband and I really appreciated that we could relax in a separate living area while both of our children were safely snoozing in their OWN bedrooms. After wearing yourself out in the Disney parks, et.al., this makes a big difference in your “wind down” time. It’s like being at home, which is really nice. You’re not having to crouch in a corner while your children sleep – keeping the TV on low and whispering.

The Breakfast: We capitalized on the breakfast each morning. It’s a true continental breakfast, which means that not many hot items are offered, but the offerings were plentiful enough for us to get a decent breakfast into us each day before leaving for the parks. In my opinion, a light breakfast is best anyway, because it’s likely that you will have a heavier lunch than is typical when you are at Disney, Sea World, Universal, etc. There were bagels, pastries, cereal, fruit, peanut butter, cream cheese, juices, coffee, milk. It was certainly enough. It was also enough to be able to have something different every day. Having the breakfast each morning will save you a lot of money in the parks.

The Pool: During both of our stays, we reserved one day of our vacation for a pool day. This pool is so clean and beautiful. It does not have waterslides or anything like that, like some of the surrounding resorts do, but we liked that. We want where we stay to have a calming atmosphere, and this place definitely has that. That being said, our children certainly were not bored at WorldQuest. They absolutely loved the pool! Also, there is a bin of pool toys over by the bath house that are offered to the children to borrow, free of charge. We really liked that! Lastly, the pool chairs are so nice!! There are so many free standing umbrellas so you can shade your area, and the chaise lounges are well-cushioned. Additionally, towels are provided at the pool, so you don’t have lug room towels down with you. It’s the little things, you know. Such a nice place to relax!!

The Security: We feel like the place is safer than some other surrounding resorts. There is a security gate that you have to stop at to enter. The security man even called on the one night that we ordered pizza. Also, we had a problem on our last night with some rowdy guests. It was clear that they were very, VERY excited to be there and were running up and down the stairs and all over the resort grounds until 12:30a.m. Why anyone would be so inconsiderate – especially in a resort that obviously caters to families with young children who are ALL getting up to go to Disney World the next day, is beyond me. But, alas, people are jerks. Anyway, security was called and the situation was handled swiftly and effectively.
The Full Kitchen: Having two small children, words cannot express what a convenience this is for us. The full fridge/freezer is so great to have. We are able to bring all our own snacks, and that saves us a lot of money. Also, it’s nice on the nights when you are very tired, to have a means to just cook an easy frozen dinner at a home base, instead of having to pile in the car and go to another restaurant (especially if you have to fussy, tired children). The corkscrew and wine glasses are nice for mom too.

The Value: I simply have not found a better value that is closer to the parks. This resort has it all, and we recently stayed in a 3 bedroom unit for $89 a night!!! That was a February deal that was offered to Facebook friends, which I thought was awesome! When we stayed there before, it was a 2 bedroom for a little more than $100 a night – still a really good deal. The folks at WorldQuest are very good about answering questions and offering great deals for their friends online.

Convenience: You’d think with all of this, that it would be fairly far from the parks. It’s not!! It’s very close! We did not use the shuttle at all because we wanted to have the convenience of our car. It took us minutes to get to each of the Disney parks and to Sea World. It was very convenient.

All in all, we know that we will be back to WorldQuest. Unless you are fixated on staying at a Disney property, this is a great value, and an oasis of calm in the middle of all the chaos.

We came back to World Quest Orlando on Feb 5th - Feb 11th, 2012. We were happy to enjoy the February rate of $89/night, This made our trip back to Orlando easier knowing we were going to get a great rate for a 3bedroom suite. We arrived in the morning but tried to check in at 1pm but our room was not ready yet. We were travelling with our 1 1/2 yr old and 4 yr old and I'm 6 1/2 mths pregnant so it was a long day already. (Note: I requested if we could get our room earlier by email 2 days before our arrival but did not get a response). I thought we would be able to get our room early again when we had visited back on June 2011 with the 2 kids. We showed up at 4:30pm and the room was not ready yet. My husband waited 10 mins and we got our cards. With groceries already in the SUV from 1pm, we were anxious to get inside and settle in. We were extremely happy with our stay as usual. The 3 bdrm suite was amazing and wish we were able to enjoy this with another family. We stayed at a 2 bdrm suite last time. The girls enjoyed the extra space and rooms to play in and it worked out great. The pool was a little cool but my 4 yr old enjoyed it and didn't bother her at all from going almost everyday if we were not at the Disney parks. Breakfast is always great. We knew of the continental breakfast and what they served so we bought eggs and waffles to add to our breakfast selection which worked out great. Bagels, toast, pastries, fruits are always nice to have and we always appreciate the free continental breakfast provided at WQO. We took advantage of the washer/dryer as it saved us from bringing extra luggage so we packed less clothes with us. Garbage was collected everyday as we opted for no housekeeping services. Our stay was wonderful and the people working there and staying there were nice. Its nice to stay at a resort when we are not too far from the Disney parks. Overall, we will definitely be coming back to WQO. We already have friends planning to stay here when they come to visit. Thank you World Quest Orlando!!!!

Room Tip: We chose the 2nd storey in Building 2 which is close to the breakfast and not to far if we decide no...

I stayed at the WorldQuest after missing the cutoff to get a room at the Marriott World Center for a business convention. With a rate that was $100 cheaper than a room at the Marriott, I wasn't expecting much. I was shocked when I walked into an enormous, pristine two bedroom, two bathroom suite with a full kitchen and a private, screened outdoor patio and a lovely view. I couldn't recommend this more highly for business travelers who want to bring family along.

Room Tip: Building 6, Room 106 is lovely.

We stayed at the WorldQuest last week and it was such a great home away from home for my family! It was very close to Disney, Walmart, and local eateries. The staff was very nice and friendly! My husband, mother, and kids told me I hit a "home run" on booking the condo - they all loved it. If you like a nice place to stay with lots of room, plus a kitchen and washer/dryer....this place is perfect. I was uncertain if I was making the right decision staying offsite when we decided to go to Disney, but now after our week long stay I can tell you it was the perfect decision for us and we will do it this way again. The rooms onsite are 1/4 the size of this place, but 3-4x more money. Yes, you will spend about 20 minutes more coming and going versus onsite proper, but it really wasn't bad at all!

Room Tip: Highest floor is best since they have tile floors and you can hear overhead furniture moving.

The three bedroom three bathroom suites are the perfect with large soaking tubs and well appointed kitchen. I suggest heading out to pick up breakfast options. The coffee at the continental breakfast was not good and the options of pastries or cereals was the offerings not to mention the crowds. Save yourself the headache and do with out the daily towel option. I had to call everyday to remind the front desk and the towels never came. This is a$5.00 a day charge. You are so close to Disney for a quarter of the price.

3 bedroom condo was nice. It was a nice stay in a convenient location. Very close to Disney. Close to Sea World. A little further to Universal. Plenty of room in the condo. 3 bedrooms and three baths. Very nice. Will stay here again.

Hosted a business meeting at WorldQuest at the beginning os February 2012. The staff was extremely accommodating. The rooms are very spacious especially for the price. The pool area is very well maintained and spacious as well.

You always saw either landscapers or housekeeping cleaning the property. They keep it in very good shape.

The only negative that I heard from our attendees was that the continental breafast was very sparse. But it is a continental breakfast and it is included, so minor issue.

Room Tip: Try to stay in one of the buildings surrounding the pool area. Very beautiful!
