First off, let me say we did NOT stay at the hotel. I wish we could have because it was lovely.
Second, if you are planning to stay at the hotel you now need to know 2 things: 1. The peabody ducks will be no longer as of October 1. The hotel was bought out by Hyatt chain and the ducks will be relocated to a farm not far away from the hotel, but nonetheless there will no longer be a march of the ducks at the Orlando location. 2. If you do decide to stay here or visit here, be aware that there is a parking fee after the first 30 minutes (if you're staying at the hotel, you don't pay for parking, just take your stub into the desk) and it is quite pricey (for a college kid like me) to pay $14 for parking for an hour.
Lastly, the reason we went was the ducks. Now, we are from Florida and I even live on a pond with ducks, but for some reason this drew us in, we had to go see the ducks. The ducks were your typical ducks, minus the fact they'd just waddled out of a 100,000 dollar pent house suite down a red carpet and into a fountain. Is it fun? Yeah especially if you have kids. Is it necessary to do while in orlando? No.More
