With a few minor exceptions, this trip was absolutely perfect. The location is awesome if you are planning to go to Hollywood Studios and Epcot multiple times throughout your stay. It is really great if you are on the Disney Dining Plan and want to take advantage of the international cuisine in Epcot. We had parkhopper tickets and would go to the other parks during the day then come back and clean up a little and then walk right over into Epcot for dinner.

Check in was a bit confusing but we had a bit of a unique situation (two separate reservations that we had been assured were linked together so we wouldn't have to change rooms). Suffice it to say the reservations were not linked together in the system and the gentleman who checked us in the first night was decidedly unhelpful. He even refused to explain the dining plan to us that night because it didn't go into effect until the next day. I don't see how it made better sense for us to waste our precious park time re-checking in and getting the information the next day. Besides this, and one extremely unhappy and rude boat attendant, everything else was above and beyond our expectations. The check in staff the second day was helpful, friendly, professional, and efficient.

The decor of the resort is very tasteful and authentic. Just a very relaxing environment. The rooms were very nicely appointed and I didn't find them to be worn at all. The bed was comfortable and housekeeping was both friendly and thorough. When I did turn down the AC to warm the room a little, there was a distinct musty smell- so we kept the room colder than we normally would and it was no problem. I really recommend packing a pair of sweatpants and a sweatshirt for in the room at night if you tend to get chilly easily.

The common areas of the hotel were immaculate. The pool area was well appointed (I can see how they may run out of chairs though if it was crowded). When we went to the pool there were probably only 20 people there so it was great. The pool bar tender makes a yummy pina colada and the water slide was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. The announcers for the kids activities are a bit annoting. There really is no reason to announce games and contests for the entire pool area to hear when the games are taking place in one tiny corner of the pool. We were there for the slides and the drinks, though, so it didn't bother us.

The fitness room was very well equipped and very modern. The bartender at the lounge in the hotel was very friendly and helpful and also knew how to mix a great drink. There is a small archade right on site. We didn't use the spa, so no comments there.

There was plenty of dining, shopping and entertainment options at the Boardwalk. We ate dinner one night at the Flying Fish and it was INCREDIBLE! The general store on the corner has eveything from relatively reasonably priced groceries to all the Disney gear you could want.

Bell and valet service were readily available and extremely responsive.

Surprisingly we found this trip to be very relaxing (not what I think of when I think Disney) largely because of the hotel and its great staff (with above noted exception). We would definately return and I will recommend this hotel to friends and family without hesitation. We are already looking to book our next stay here. Thank you Disney Boardwalk Inn.

This was our 3rd trip to Disney. Since our kids are now teens we decided to try the Boardwalk. We enjoyed its proximity to Hollywood studios and Epcot (we like to eat at the World showcase). The room was clean, well set up and the beds were comfortable. There were a few negatives. The hallways are very long and we were about as far away from the lobby as humanly possible. The only way to access the boardwalk is via the lobby so I recommend that you request a room not to far away. Also, when we returned from the parks at 4pm our room had not been cleaned. I expect my room cleaned by a decent time. The bus service sometimes had multiple stops. That being said, we enjoyed our time there. Disney is just so big now that I think overall they need to improve to the service attitude that they used to have.

Just came back from a 4 night stay at the BI , at the Innkeepers Club . We arrived at 1030 and our room was ready, right across from the lounge and overlooking the Boardwalk . The room was beautiful as was the view. We really enjoyed taking the boat to Epcot and Hollywood Studios; we usually stay in a Magic Kingdom resort so this was welcomed . I know a lot of people complain that there is no restaurant in the hotel , but the whole boardwalk is the hotel ! You have to step outside at the Polynesian to get to the main house/ food also . Club staff were helpful and friendly . Overall not impressed with concierge so far ( also did Polynesian ) , but got both times on sale, otherwise I don't think it's worth it . Ate at Kat Cora's place and sang at Jellyrolls - both were great . Really like the Boardwalk location and the vibe, however will try the Yacht Club next time as the BW pool does not compare !

Stayed in a one bedroom villa for the 4th time in 7 years & can't imagine going to any other WDW property although there are plenty that look good. The rooms are very clean & updated. The staff is incredibly helpful & knowledgeable, they really, genuinely try to make your stay as pleasant as posssible The setting is 1920's Coney Island with an actual boardwalk, street performers, shops, bars, restaurants, dance hall, bakery, candy store, etc. It's located a short walk to Epcot & a long walk to Hollywood Studios or you can take a brief ferry ride. Beach Club, Swan & Dolphin Hotels are only a stroll or real short ferry ride away. Perfect for families with children & for those who don't there's a large quiet pool (possibly 2).

This was our first stay at the Boardwalk and I was so looking forward to spending a couple of days there. Check in was prompt and efficient, and our room was ready when we checked in at 2 PM. The room was decorated lovely, beds were comfortable, and there was even a towel bunny on a shelf. The location of Boardwalk in excellent if you're spending time in Epcot and the Studios, and we did take the bus to the Magic Kingdom one day and it was efficient. Now the negative --- Although the Wifi in the room was free, it was intermittent, on again, off again and very frustrating when you are trying to finish something and all of a sudden there is "no signal - guest wireless." On our second day, we went to Epcot and returned to the room around 3PM and our room hadn't been cleaned. I called Housekeeping so see if we could be next on the list to have housekeeping. She said she would have to see where the housekeeper was and what she had to do. We were staying Club Level and I would have thought service would have been a little better. Considering it was already 3 PM and the Turndown service cast member came around at 5PM, it seemed ridiculous. However, I do not blame the housekeeper as after looking around the floor, it seems like there were only 3 housekeepers taking care of I don't know, maybe 70 or 80 rooms in that wing. This is Disney's fault, trying to cut costs. My first visit to Disney World was in 1984 and as the years go by, you can see the level of service going down as the prices go up. Meanwhile, as the housekeepers were breaking their backs to clean more rooms than I believe should be expected, the concierge lounge had 4 people standing around --- and I mean standing around. Oh of course, they clear the tables, put out the drinks, snacks, etc and will answer questions, but Disney 4 people for one small lounge? Speaking of the club lounge, service was very good. Of course, with 4 people doing what 2 could handle, everything should be spotless, and replenished as needed and it was, cannot fault that. How I determine whether a hotel will get 5 or 4 stars, is if I can answer the question "would I stay here again?" Unfortunately with the Boardwalk, the answer is No. Next time I stay at an Epcot resort, I will return to the Beach Club.

We chose the Boardwalk Inn because it looked so charming in the pictures - and it was in person too. The rooms were a comfortable size and ours had a nice view out over the water. We enjoyed the actual boardwalk outside the hotel as well - lots of places to eat and shop, plus a couple of nightclubs, including one for teens. (If you're using the Disney Dining Plan, be careful about where you eat - not all of those restaurants accept it.)

The location is good - you can walk to Epcot, or take a boat to Epcot or Hollywood Studios. You have to take a bus to get to the other parks. The buses come regularly so it was never hard to get where we wanted to go.

The biggest downside to the hotel was the lack of dining options inside. There was a bar where you could get pastries and coffee for breakfast, and cocktails in the evening, but that was it. Given the limited Disney Dining Plan acceptance outside the hotel, having a couple of places inside would have been nice.

Boardwalk in is walking distance to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios which is nice. It was faster to walk home from Hollywood than take the Boat. On the day we took the bus to the Magic Kingdom. We were the first bus stop and had breakfast at 9:20 at cinderellas castle. We were at the bus stop at 8:01 but the bus didn't show up until after 8:30 and we didn't see any buses pulling away on our walk. We were told the buses run every 20 minutes. We made it into the park at 9:05. We went home in the afternoon (convenience of being in the parks, right?) We tried to go back for dinner at Tonys in the MK at 7:30. We left to catch the bus at 5:30 (early so the kids could ride a couple rides before dinner). Again, when we got to the bus stop there were people that had been waiting for 10+ minutes and we waited another 20 minutes. The bus then stopped at Yacht Club, Swan and Dolphin. We did not get back in the park until 7:15.

As for the resort, it was very nice. The main pool had a great slide for big kids. There was a kiddy pool. The pools close if there is lightning (understandable). On the Boardwalk there are lots of little shops. If you didn't get the meal plan, buy a refillable mug for $14.95. I got morning coffee every day and Iced Tea at the Bakery in the afternoons. Well worth it!
