“Convenient and fun!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 February 2014

We enjoyed a family visit to Disney World with little kids, Mom and Dad and Grandparents. Our stay at the Disney Boardwalk was terrific. The location on the edge of Epcot and a decent walk to Disney Hollywood Studios was very convenient and with the various restaurants and services all around, it was a good lodging choice.

We especially appreciated the good efforts of Nick, the lead staff member at the Boardwalk Community Hall kid's recreation program. He was great, making sure our little kids had fun and keeping them busy with creative arts and crafts. Nick is a guest service star.

Our whole Disney World trip was terrific and we will certainly return. Boardwalk was a great place to stay.

So here for three nights as the keynote speaker for a client conference. Arrived in limo had to carry my own )3 hefty pieces) luggage to reception.
Ok check in -on 4 th floor with lounge access.
Room ok - little dated. Great view over lake with balcony. Was starving so tried to order healthy veggie food. None to be had. Took 2 plates of chick pea salad from the lounge. Mmmmm
Then the noise began. Boats arriving with horns. Asked to be moved. Got told "no,hotel full."
Air vent rattled. Again asked to be moved. Again negative. Band began to play beneath my window. This time asked for Manager as I clearly needed to check out. Voila a Villa was made ready. Other side of the hotel but ok -very dated but quiet.
Until now. Can hear tv from next door. Pounding music from somewhere and voices. (Not in my head either). Have no confidence anything will happen if I moan so earplugs again!

Just think staff do everything by process and little common sense is used. Food not good if health your concern.

4 th floor lounge ok. Lovely staff

Nice location as has been mentioned.

We normally stay at one of Disney's Moderate Resorts but decided to stay here as we were getting married at this resort and thought the convenience would be nice. I have to say, I like the moderates better. Yes, the resort was 'fancy', the rooms a bit bigger, and the decor more opulent however, I just don't think those things are worth the extra money. We also really like the sprawling greenery at the moderates. The other thing that was really missing for us was a nice counter service breakfast. Yes, Belle Vue Lounge had bagels and a few seats and the Boardwalk Bakery had pastries and seats outside, but we really have grown accustomed to the nice food courts at the moderates with plenty of options like eggs, waffles, omelets, etc with plenty of inside seating. We did take the time to eat at Kouzzina the morning before our wedding which was really nice, but is generally a lot more time than we like to spend having breakfast when we could be touring the parks instead. All that being said, the proximity to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios is really great, very nice to just be able to walk back to the room. Our next visit is at a moderate again, we will have to see how much we miss the ability to walk to those two parks.

I'm not sure if we just had really bad luck or not with the people who helped us checking in, but we were not impressed. As I mentioned, we were there for our wedding and honeymoon so requested a room with a king-sized bed. We were put in a room with 2 doubles, no view, no balcony, and windows that wouldn't open. From what I could tell, it was one of very few rooms without a balcony. I wasn't expecting an upgrade to concierge or anything like that but figured that if we were there for our Disney wedding, they might honor our request for a king bed. My fiance, (now husband) went back downstairs, this time talking to a different employee, and tried to explain why we wanted a room with a king-sized bed, it took her about ten minutes to understand the request and make it happen. Very weird.

Just finished a four night stay here. It was nice, not amazing though.

We had a water view room which was nice. Plenty of room and it was in decent shape, especially for the volume of guests it sees. The location is great, walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

We had a couple of issues I didn't expect to have here.
-We could here our "neighbors" next door. This was normal volume conversation they were having, not yelling. Happened every time we were in the rooms together. Probably had to do with the door so they could be adjoining rooms. Not cool.
-The view of the Boardwalk is a perk of the water view room but the noise was more than we expected, I imagine it would be a little much in the peak season if you are a light sleeper.
-The internet is AWFUL. Had a hard time doing anything, had to switch to our own we brought just to read emails!
-The worst was that we didn't have hot water on 2 different days. The first morning, they acted shocked even though we heard our neighbors talking about it with the desk at 11:00 pm the night before. We were compensated for it, but still not something you want to deal with on vacation.

If you plan on using the resort mug refills, be advised it is a long hike, not like some of the other properties. I wouldn't pay for it if it wasn't included in our dining plan.

Overall an ok stay, just fell a little short of the Disney magic. Will probably try the Beach Club next time.

Room Tip: View from water view rooms is nice, but be prepared for Boardwalk noise and hot sun I the summer.

My wife and I just returned from a 5-night stay at this property. We were fully impressed by the Disney experience in general and fully enjoyed our time at this Inn. Large room, wonderful access to the boardwalk and dining, beautiful interior and grounds, and outstanding service on the concierge level from sun-up (with breakfast choices) to sundown (cordials and dessert). Everything was simply delightful.

Room Tip: Seek a room with a view of the boardwalk and the lake -- great fun. And, the 4th floor is the concie...

You will not be sorry for paying the price to stay at this resort. Walk into the back of beautiful Epcot each morning and just be amazed! clean and a lot of things to do in the evenings as well on the boardwalk itself.

Room Tip: if you want quite request the rooms by the adult pool. You can see some of the fireworks each night...

We stayed at Disney Boardwalk the week prior to Thanksgiving and I fell in love with this resort! We have stayed at Disney Yacht Club and Disney Beach Club and Polynesian. We were used to being able to walk to Epcot staying at both Yacht and Beach clubs but the biggest difference is there is so much more to do at the Boardwalk. Even though all restaurants are on the outside of the resort on the boardwalk itself, they are easier accessible than Yacht and Beach clubs. The feel of the resort is wonderful and our room was great. The elevators seemed to work very fast as we never seemed to wait anytime for them to arrive. To be able to walk to Epcot and Hollywood studios is great. The pool was good too (the Yacht and Beach club do have the pool area beat) but more than sufficient for the kids. They have a activity room on property that has a pool table, xbox and play stations, ping-pong table and air hockey that the kids were able to use while the adults had drinks waiting on our table. I would want to go back here again. The staff was great and it's a beautiful resort.
