What a fantastic hotel!! Spent the weekend going down water slides, playing in the sand, floating down the lazy river, having a seafood dinner, and finished the evening with fireworks, movie outside, and roasting marshmallows. Kids, 5 and 2 loved it. Attended the character breakfast in the morning which was also a hit. Must say this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Tip: make all sit down meal reservations. Fills up quick. Secondly, take the boat to the boardwalk.

We stayed 5 nights at the concierge level of the Beach club resort in April/May 2014.
The good: Location! The resort is located within a short walk to the back entrance of Epcot, and an even shorter walk to the Disney Boarwalk resort and shopping/dining area. Transportation to the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom were a quick, complimentary bus ride away. Transportation to Hollywood Studios was a short (also complimentary) ferry boat ride away. We paid a little extra for a lagoon-view room, which was very nice, although in retrospect, we spent very little time IN our room, so I'm not sure it was worth the premium. The hotel itself is typically cute, but not cartoonish. I would say it's target audience is probably more adults that young children - although there were plenty of kids there too. The staff were ALL exceptional. 24-hr room service is also available at this hotel (and it was worth every penny for our overpriced hamburgers - they were DELICIOUS!!) - this is something not always available at many of the other Disney resorts. The concierge level also offers a free dining/snack room of sorts - where they serve continental breakfast (which was very filling), snacks, evening appetizers and hors d'oeuvres, desserts, liquors, wine, and beer. The beds were very comfortable.

The not-so-great: You cannot get a guaranteed room TYPE. Meaning, if you request a room with a King bed, it cannot be guaranteed. Despite being led to believe that despite not being able to GUARANTEE this room type, it would not be a problem to honor the request, we were stuck in a double queen room, which was a little cramped. The room, although tidy and clean, seemed to have a little more wear than I would have expected for the price we paid. There is a small refrigerator in the room, but it is so small, it's not very useful - you can put a few cans/bottles of soda in there. There is a small balcony, but it is almost too small for two people to sit comfortably - your knees will hit the wall! As mentioned previously, the staff were all wonderfully friendly, but we did not find too many needs for which we needed to utilize he concierge service which we paid for (no fault of their own). We made the majority of our dining and fast pass reservations online prior to arrival. The one instance we did utilize their assistance was in canceling some dinner reservations. There is a small market in the lobby that sells souvenirs and quick service food - although the selections are somewhat limited. The pools are novel - they have soft sand bottoms (just like at the beach) - I'm not sure how they keep the water from getting cloudy or clogging drains - but they don't. However, I would not make this a selling point for this hotel.

Overall, it was a great experience, although it's doubtful that we would spring for the extra cost of the concierge level again. Our next visit, we will be checking out the Boardwalk resort (which offers the same convenience factor) as a possible place to stay, to provide a comparison to our Beach Club Resort experience.

Room Tip: Floors near the elevator on the 5th floor are going to be noisy - the concierge desk and club room a...

We enjoyed the location of the Beach Club. Proximity to Epcot and the Boardwalk restaurants was convenient. The pool and water slide was awesome although very crowded! Our room was far off in a corner of the resort so the walk to and from for very old very fast, especially after a long day at the parks. Stay was very good - but we are going to try different resort next time.

The adjoining rooms in garden view area were so thin we could hear everything happening around us from water drawers shutting, TV, and lastly the conversation the people next door were having very late into the night. Considering every other word was inappropriate and "F***" words we asked to be moved. They promised an upgrade to the Yacht Club next door. The next day it wasn't ready when promised by 11:00. Was a lot of wasted time to get what we finally expected. Yacht Club seems nicer overall.

My husband, 6 year old and I stayed here for a week during April vacation week. Wow, what a great location to relax in between park visits. My daughter and I loved the water slide and hanging out by the pool on pool days. We loved having Rocky from Boston bring us drinks and food poolside! My little one asked if we could just move to the Beach Club, I wanted to as well, cannot disagree. If you are a runner, there are some nice asphalt trails that go all the way to the Swan + Dolphin and Hollywood Studios (2 miles away). We decided to splurge with the club level rooms and we were not disappointed. Oatmeal breakfasts, fresh coffee every morning, and snacks at night plus wine or beer! We will be back!

Room Tip: Ask for a club level room with a balcony!

When we plan to only visit Epcot, we prefer Beach Club because it is the shortest walk. We like being able to walk to the park and not have to rely on the transportation systems. We have stayed in many different rooms, including one of the villas and all have been all one could ask for. This last trip we were upgraded to a club level room and now my wife is really spoiled. The service was exceptional from the moment we were taken to the elevator for the ride up to the personal check in. I only wish I could remember the names of the people we dealt with so I could tell Disney what a good job they did. The room was spotless, the garden view was overlooking the walk from the lake to the hotel giving us a view of the pool as well. I do have to note, I can't really remember a room at any of the resorts we have stayed at that had a bad view. The beds were comfortable and I don't think there is anything more important in a room than a comfortable bed. If I had to pick a nit, the balcony could have been a little larger, but then I have to admit we are not small people so maybe that makes the balcony smaller. I would recommend the Beach Club Resort to anyone that likes clean comfortable rooms, pleasant efficient service and a short stroll to Epcot.
