Disney's Beach Club Resort is within easy walking distance of Epcot and a short boat ride and/or walk to Hollywood Studios. There is wonderful ambiance both inside and outside the hotel. Yes the rooms and décor are a bit dated but we already know the Beach Club is scheduled for a rehab probably starting later this year so big deal. The beds were comfortable, the room was quiet and the full balcony everything for which we could have asked.

We were lucky enough to be staying club level and the concierge and lounge staff were lovely. Always very personable and helpful. The concierge level also offers a free dining/snack room of sorts - where they serve continental breakfast (which was very filling), snacks, evening appetizers and hors d'oeuvres, desserts, liquors, wine, and beer. Unlike many who say they do not care about there room location as they do not plan to spend much time there, we find we use the room differently than many. Our modus operandi is to get up in the morning, grab breakfast and head to the parks. Lunch is usually something light at the parks or back at the hotel, with the afternoon spent around the pool or even napping (what!) So we did appreciate very much our lovely full balcony with its view over Stormalong Bay.

Speaking of the much talked about pool complex, Stormalong Bay does not disappoint. There is a pirate ship with a water slide and a marvelous shallow are for small children. The pool has two slides, the sandy play area, the volleyball net, the whirlpool, waterfalls, and the lazy river. They checked our magic bands upon entering the pool area which was comforting.

There are also a ton of dining options around the boardwalk area, Swan & Dolphin, Yacht and Beach Club and of course Epcot. We really loved the proximity of Epcot allowing us to take advantage of several dining options we had never been to before. We especially enjoyed the Chefs Du France Restaurant.

Overall it was a great experience with only a couple of small blips along the way. I would definitely stay at this hotel again after the rehab is completed.

Every year my friends from Maryland come down and we stay at the Beach Club Resort. It is a very close walk to Epcot and we enter into the Countries which is a less crowded entrance with no wait to enter the park. You can walk or take the boat which also goes over to Hollywood studios. The rooms are comfortable and we normally stay on the concierge floor which makes it even better. The staff is excellent and the snacks there are great. We don;t use the pool but it looks excellent with a lazy river and snack bar area. I look forward to my yearly vacation at the Beach Club Resort

Room Tip: stay on the concierge floor if you can. You get a continental breakfast, beer and wine in the aftern...

We stayed in the Beach Club 4 years ago and loved it but was very let down this time. It no longer seemed to have the 'Disney' magic. Staff were rude and unhelpful. Our room had a hole in the ceiling but after a long day traveling and then a long wait for our room to be available I decided to phone reception and inform them instead of asking to change rooms. They apologisied and said it would be seen by maintance the next day. Two weeks later the hole was bigger and nothing was done even though the maid had to clean up the debris on the floor everyday. I did go down to reception on a few occasions but the queues were always long and I didn't want to waste my holiday queuing. On check out I reinformed the receptionist who was rude and did not even apologise.
On the upside this hotel is in an excellent location, just a short walk to Epcot and The Boardwalk. The pool area is great with slides and a lazy river.

We love Disney and are always looking to stay somewhere new. Excellent place! Moderate resort, great pool and it's huge. You have to book in a building close to the main pool or you will be hiking it quite a way. It did cost about $100 more for the week but well worth it. Not only were we close to the main pool, there was another right down the stairs from us. Rooms were very nice and easy to get to all the parks. A great tip we got was to use Garden Grocer, online grocery store, which delivers right to the resort and the front desk keeps your order until you are back at the room. You have to order several days in advance, before we left for Florida, and the stuff was delivered right to our room. We bought water, pop, snacks, fruit and even beer and wine. It saved us a lot of money from having to buy all that and it was convenient. We are deffinately going back to Beach Club!

We loved every minute of our stay at the Beach Club. The pool has two slides, the sandy play area, the volleyball net, the whirlpool, waterfalls, and the lazy river. This has set the bar for all other hotel pools frankly. They checked our magic bands upon entering the pool area which was comforting. Our room seemed larger than expected and it was clean and well-kept. I left a tip each morning and housekeeping was spot on with any special requests. The front desk staff was very helpful, especially the young man from Univ of California (sorry I forgot your name). The cast members in the marketplace were friendly and helpful. Breakfast at Captain's Grille was terrific. Martin the butler who brought room service was a delight! Nothing but the best at Disney!

We have stayed at other Epcot resorts ( Yacht Club and Boardwalk) before; this was our first time at Beach Club.

Our rooms were very comfortable, quiet and clean with a nice balcony with chairs (looks like this is only available on the 2nd floor). We booked a Standard room and were very close to the small "quiet " (not very ) pool.

The Stormalong Bay pool complex is fantastic (shared with Yacht). Lazy river, sandy bar for kids, pool activities, water slide, hot tubs...it is big and busy but you can always find a place to feel somewhat more relaxed. I have a hard time staying anywhere else at Disney because of the pool and location. Access to the pool is a little confusing from Beach Club; it's easier from Yacht Club.

The resort sits on a "bay" surrounded by a boardwalk. The Boardwalk area has lots of dining options (sit-down and counter service) as well as street performers in the evening. This and the proximity to Epcot keep us coming back. We could be inside Epcot 5 minutes after leaving our hotel room! Very short walk. We frequently walked over to dine in the international areas and shop (Park Hopper tickets are a must if you want to do this...worth it!).

There is a small counter service option with some groceries available in the resort gift shop. The food is only so-so and the service could be more friendly. It is quite hectic in the AM but I never had to wait long for food. I frequented it multiple times a day to get breakfast, shop and get beverages in my refillable mug.

Self parking is fairly convenient, just a few minutes walk. Save the money and don't valet park! I never had trouble finding a space.

Downtown Disney is a short car ride (10 minutes door to door). The bus there can take quite a while; I recommend driving if possible, though parking can be challenging.

Buses to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom come pretty frequently. It's about 20-30 minutes door to door to/from MK, about 15-20 to/from AK. You can take a boat to Hollywood Studios (takes about 10 minutes once it arrives; you may wait up to 10 minutes for it to come.). You can also walk to HS; takes about 15-20 minutes I would guess.

We didn't eat at any of the sit down restaurants in or near the resort except the little diner Beaches and Cream so can't comment. We did have a steak via room service that was reasonably priced ( for room service), delivered quickly, and very good.

The resort is definitely due a little refurbishment. The hallway carpets are looking worn, the bathroom tiles are not as sparkling as they could be, the door hinges are rusty, etc. None of this interfered with our enjoyment of the resort, however.

The lobby is nice but very loud in the AM and at dinner time due to access to the Cape May restaurant. I like sitting in the lobby with a book at times so this was a negative for me.(Yacht Club's lobby is quieter and the gift shop is nicer, but no counter service meal option there.)

I will keep coming back to the Epcot resorts. I give Yacht Club a very slight edge, but if you prefer the convenience of the counter service meals in the gift shop and the few minutes you will shave off your walk to Epcot, then Beach Club is a great choice.
