I spent 3 nights at this resort, I loved the small feel of it especially since it was me and my young daughter. We felt at home as soon as we picked up our materials from online check in desk. I had requested a 3rd floor room and received that plus a corner 2 bed room. It was lovely and big enough. The resorts food place had enough choices for us, though could get busy in the morning before everyone was heading out to Disney. The bus stop is close by as is the boat to Downtown Disney. The cast members were all helpful and nice and accommodating. So far this is my favorite Disney hotel and I have stayed at a couple of the Deluxe resorts. The pool was wonderful as well, especially for little to tween kids. They only have one pool and a hot tub but the time we stayed was not to busy I would assume summer might be a bit more crowded. We also enjoyed the Halloween Trick or Treating and Costume contest as well as the campfire and marshmallows. We watched one of the nightly movies and they provided towels for us to lay on which was fun. We spend more time at the resort than the parks and my daughter said she would be happy just visiting the resort and not going to the parks.

Room Tip: We had a 3rd floor and I hardly ever heard noise from even the room next to us. We were in the 4th...

Our stay at the Port Orleans, French Quarter was great, it started back at home receiving our magic bands. And with that, we were able to select our fast passes for the parks. The website has gotten so much better, being able to check in online and put my credit card on file even before setting foot on the resort. The day we arrived transportation on the Magical Express was swift and easy. No wait at all. We just scanned our magic bands and proceded to the according bus. When we got to the resort, we were received at the lobby by hostess that just verified the information on an ipad and quickly retrieved the packet with our room keys, and all information including room number. It was as easy as it has gotten since we checked in online for the first time several years ago. This was the first time we actually felt the convenience of checking in online. Our room was ready, we got the room we requested on a first floor, corner room. It was on building 7, that is the farthest, however the resort is so compact, that we did not felt far at all. Pool, restaurants, transportation, concierge and every ammenity was near. Loved all the romance that the resort exudes, it always felt relaxed and empty even if it was not. The room was big enough for us two, never felt crowded, everythibg was in good working order. Beds were comfortable, always slept all night and well. Amenities in the bathroom were good and plentifull, however I wish they included body cream, even a Best Western offers them. The bathroom was an ok size, not huge, but comfortable enough. Mousekeeping did a great job keeping our bedroom clean and toiletries refreshed during the week we stayed. Transportation to parks were effective, never waited 20 minutes for a bus. The only long ride was to Animal Kingdom, however ride was not bad. We were always able to get seats, exept twice, that we offered seating to others that could use them more. Boat transportation to downtown disney was excellent, it was relaxing and convenient. Our stay in Port Orleans, French Quarter was a great experience and the whole staff we interacted with were great from check in all the way to check out. We would certaintly recomended to anyone. It was great to spend a week at this resort.

We stayed here for two nights after returning from a Disney cruise. We took the Disney transport to the hotel which was very convenient. You never have to touch your luggage if you don't want to, it magically appearance your room! When we arrived, the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is much more casual than the more expensive resorts. We were not spending too much time in the room so the fact that it was average and not too special met our expectations this trip. The beds were comfortable, but the shower head was a bit strange and hard to control. The thing I really liked about the hotel was the location. You could take the riverboat to Downtown Disney in 11 minutes. The Disney buses were available for the parks. Also, the counter service restaurant offered beignets, which I love and snacks throughout the day at a reasonable price.

Tip: The transport buses no longer go from any park to Downtown Disney. You have to go to Downtown Disney from a resort. This has not been removed from the signage at the parks and not all employees seem to know this. We waited 30 minutes before a worker told us!

Room Tip: If you want a quiet room, avoid the river view and the pool view. The transport boats come every 20...

This Resort is phenomenal! There are so many great things to say about it! We stayed for 3 days/2 nights. First of all it is very compact; therefore, almost every room is close to the Lobby, Food Court, Pool, etc. Our room was extremely clean! You really feel like you're in New Orleans. There is a boat ride to Downtown Disney from the resort and the buses to the parks are exclusive to French Quarter so wait times are not long. There is a big grass area where they roast marshmallows and show a movie each night. During the day my family and I had lunch, played games, and jumped rope on the grass area. The food court offers New Orleans style food such as Po Boys, Gumbo, Beignets, etc. We loved it and will stay there again! :)

Room Tip: Building 5 and upper floor!

We used Disney's Magical Express to travel to our hotel and also requested the Luggage Delivery Service. The description of the service states that our luggage would be delivered directly to our hotel room and that it may take up to 3 hours after your check-in at the hotel. Sounds good doesn't it. Well, our flight arrived on-time at 8:00pm but our luggage didn't arrive until 2:00am!!! Pretty bad start to our magical vacation with Mickey!!! Not happy.

Just got back stayed 4 days, nice clean with Disney style friendliness! Rooms have 2 queens and fridge table n chairs and hair dryer as extras. Pool had nice big slide. This hotel offered bus transportation into the parks, And being a smaller hotel there was only one stop which was nice not a lot of stops along the way!

Housekeeping will throw out anything that is not nailed down or hidden in drawers. Front desk will have no sympathy and will insist that missing items must have been by the trash cans. We had to take our son out in the rain with no stroller cover because housekeeping threw out our brand new, never used $50 Maclaren stroller rain cover which was in a bag on the floor along with other misc. items. Our room was pretty much cleared of anything not put away but yet nothing was replenished. No cups, soap or shampoo were replaced. Uncaring attitude we received is not acceptable. Would not stay here again.
