The resort is beautiful and we were in awe of how "at home" we felt in the suite. I definitely could not imagine being in a regular hotel room with our 4 kids. The only item in the room that was not family friendly was the small garbage can under the sink. We were constantly having to empty garbage. This would not hinder us from visiting again, although I would suggest the resort considers a more practical garbage can with lid. In addition, the food was good and the bartender was a joy but the food prices were a bit ridiculous. Overall, we love Lake Eve and are looking for an excuse to visit again! :-)

Had a fantastic holiday staying at lake eve resort on international drive. Beautiful spacious & clean apartments with everything you need for a self catering holiday. Situated on international drive ( the nicer end) the location is great for sea world & all the Disney parks. Good shuttle service available but not always the best times coming back if you wish to stay late for fireworks etc however taxi available at a good rate. Hotel staff lovely - Thelma was really lovely & helpful nothing was too much trouble. Recommend this as a great place to stay. We will go back, family of four.

Just returned from a fantastic 2 week stay at Lake Eve. Check in easy and was given room on 1st floor but explained that I had emailed earlier to request a high floor room with a view of the disney fireworks and was immediately allocated room 1313 which was great with un obstructed views of Lake Eve and not overlooking any other balconies and at the end of a corridor. The 2 bedroom apartment was huge with a washer/dryer which we used often, even better to arrive home with cases full of clean clothes! Everything you could want in the kitchen and they supplied tea towel, dishwasher powder, washing up liquid and kitchen roll. Bathrooms were clean and plenty of towels and shampoo/conditioner/soap and the walk in shower was massive. Whirlpool bath an added bonus to soak those aching feet after a day at the parks. Hairdryers in bathrooms were pretty powerful too. Plenty of space in the living area and tv in all rooms. Used the pool and hot tub several times (pool towels provided) and the sun is on the loungers next to the pool from about lunchtime to late afternoon but not actually on the pool itself. The sun deck had the sun all day and it was fun to spot the fish & turtles swimming in the lake. The hotel offers a free courtesy bus to Seaworld which leaves at 8.10am arrives Seaworld by 8.30 and then goes on to Universal to arrive by 9am. We used this shuttle a few times as it suited us but the one to Magic Kingdom went rather later in the morning and we like to get to parks early to try and do most of the rides before it gets busy which it did do as we went during the Easter holidays. Would definately recommend lake eve for its massive rooms, facilities and quiet location at the south end of international drive and there is a lovely well stocked publix supermarket about a 10min walk from the hotel and bus stop just outside.

Room Tip: Ask for room 1313 for excellent views of lake eve

I just returned from staying at the Lake Eve Resort. It is everything that they present it to be on the website. I read all the reviews before chosing this hotel and I was concerned. Thankfully it was a very pleasant experience. We have two teenagers who were pleased to have their own room! This is a change because when we travel we always stay in the same room and it can be a bit crowded. This was the most spacious hotel room we ever had. The two bedroom is the way to go if you are traveling with family. The washer and dryer were also a bonus. We intended to cook in , but never got around to doing so. We did not eat in the restraunt, (aside from a stale bagel) but the surrounding area offers so many options. I did not give this the full 5 rating for a few reasons. First, the restraunt is so small and the bar area is small as well. We booked through expedia so we got the 14th floor. We seemed to be the only ones on the floor and the hotel was not full so I'm sure we could have gotten another room. The problem with the 14th floor was the noises from the wind and other noises from the roof that I can't explain (1409 was our room). It bothered me the first night, but then I got used to it. People we met in the lobby said switching rooms was a pain so we didn't pursue that option. The check in process was slow and the pool gets shaded after a certain time of the day so you are limited to sun on the pool deck. The do have a sun deck attached to the property, but it is buggy. The cleanliness of this hotel was top notch. My husband is a hotel snob so if he was pleased I'm sure most of the population would be. The good out weighs the bad with this hotel. Our t.v. was not working and someone came and fixed it promptly. The room was always attended to while we were gone and there were plenty of towels. The location of this hotel is perfect. It is not in a busy part of International Dr. and yet it was close to the attractions. We did not use the transportation to and from parks because the times were not what we were looking for in our arrival and departure. (We like to get going early and return early). The drive to the parks was simple so we didn't mind paying the parking fee. The concierge was very helpful in our trips to the park. I would definately stay at this hotel again if we ever return to the area. Great value for a very nice stay.

Room Tip: Get your snacks and drinks from the local Publix. There is not much in the way of a snack shop and...

Booked the hotel. Went to the front desk and they said that they cancelled my reservation. This is after the fact that I called them up and confirmed the reservation and they even gave me a confirmation number. Also the person at front desk then said that they do not even have any rooms available. At this point I was helpless and could not do anything. Finally when I started calling my travel agent and showing the mails that I fortunately carried showing that I have confirmed payment. Then the lady at front desk started telling oh we may have just one suite available.

Apparently the manager cancelled the room reservation accidently. Then after giving me the room they took my number saying that manager will talk to you during your stay and clarify the confusion. I am still waiting for that call. Just ruined the whole trip for me.

Also DO NOT order food in the hotel. Its just awful.

Other than that the hotel was like any other orlando resort.

So please make sure you call up and check your reservation with such callous staff managing the hotel.

We had a 2 bedroom suite and it was our home away from home. The suite was very clean and it was exceptionally big. I would stay in this hotel again. The kitchen was nice, and very clean. Perfect for families.
