We usually stay in the Fort Wilderness Cabins when we travel to Disney because I like to have a kitchen to prepare breakfast and dinners to help stretch our money. This time we decided to look off property to save some cash. The picture on their website is a bit deceiving, the property itself seems pretty old, but a major renevation has been done. The hotel is a giant square with the center being an opened courtyard. All rooms are accessed by outdoor cooridors which face the center courtyard where the pool is.
The suites were clean, with the exception of some black mold on the ceiling above the tub and the appliances looking a bit tired. The rest of the suite was clearly recently redone from carpet to furnishings and artwork. We had plenty of room in the bedroom portion of the suite, even with two double beds. The living room portion had a nice sized couch tv and small dining table with 4 chairs. There is a small bar area with 2 barstool height chairs.
Breakfast was included with our very reasonably priced room, so I didn't even have to lift a finger. It is served buffet style and had plenty of food to choose from. The most variety I've seen at a hotel breakfast.
The hotel was right down the street from the entrance to Disney. We love the charm of Ft. Wilderness, but will be back to this hotel again, since we were able to stay here 2 nights for the same price as 1 at Ft Wilderness.
