“We Had a Good Stay at All-Star Music”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 July 2014

This was our 5th visit to WDW and our 3rd time staying at a value resort. We choose the value resorts so we can stay longer. This time I received a PIN from Disney which gave us a great price on our room even with the slight upcharge for a preferred room. This resort is set up like the other All-Star resorts but of course the theming is different. The hotel is separated into different types of music and the building for each type is fashioned to express the music (the broadway section looked like entering the backstage area and then in the middle of the area had a box office with a marquee. The lobby has music memorabilia throughout. The Intermission Food Court was good (see my separate review of that) and the people in the on-site store were helpful. Our room was modestly decorated but had Disney theming! The room was clean upon arrival and was kept that way throughout our stay. My only suggestion is for the resort to use thicker toilet paper. We were at ASM for 9 nights and never had to change to a new roll of toilet paper because the paper was so thin. We travel a lot and this was probably the thinnest toilet paper. It was really noticeable when we were at some of the Deluxe resorts and their toilet paper was thicker and softer than that at the ASM, which reiterates how low quality the TP really was. We were close to the Calypso pool, so we never tried the Piano pool. The resort has an activity staff that run all kinds of activities in the afternoon and into the evening. At dusk movies are shown by the pool. We had no problems catching busses. Overall, it was a nice hotel that worked perfect for our budget. We would definitely stay here again!

We stay here in July 2014, for about 7 days and 6 nights. We will back next summer. We purchased the stay with park tickets and hopper and the dining plan. Great experience. Even do the hotels is going under construction, is very clean, food is excellent. If you come to stay at Disney by the dining plan is a great economy. It’s almost silence, but here like in the park the student groups are the dissident sound. They will run, scream, nock at your doors, etc. The hotel has a great staff and they keep an eye on the situations and complaint, but here too, the students chaperons, they will look the other way like they don’t care.

Room Tip: Rooms away from students groups.

This place needs refreshing in a big way. The furniture was well worn, needed a fresh coat of paint, and an overall facelift. I was in the very back, but had groups of people who were very loud coming in every night after midnight, so don't plan on going to sleep before then. The food in the food court was "meh". On the positive side, the buses ran regularly, the pool area seemed to have a lot of activities, and the staff was great. It was okay, but next time I think I'll upgrade to a moderate resort, or go back to Pop Century.

Room Tip: Ask for as far away from the pools and elevators/stairs as possible for a more quiet experience.

I wanted to bring as much spending money as possible so I went with a value resort. It was PERFECT! No bells and whistles but still beautiful and fun and worth it. Clean, large room. Great Staff. The pools were beautiful and clean. It may be a "value" resort but there was nothing cheap about it. Also, my son got sick the first night and we had to go to ER the next night. Double ear infection. When I went to the desk at 1am to ask for help the hotel staff was right on top of our needs. Called the ambulance and had the security wait with us till they arrived. They talked to my son (12 years old) and calmed him down until they arrived. He was in a lot of pain. Then the hotel covered the cab ride back and had a pharmacy deliver the meds very fast. I was very impressed with this "value" resort. I would definatly stay again and recommend.

Room Tip: If you pay more money you will get a room closer to main house (food, desk, store). I picked basic a...

We (myself, wife & 11 year old daughter) stayed 14 nights in October 13. This is the 2nd time we have stayed in WDW All Star Music.
It is the perfect location with great bus services to all WDW Parks and Downtown Disney.
We hired a car and also made the trip to Universal (a must visit!!!), Busch Gardens and Seaworld.

Staff were great and full of the Disnesy happiness.

The only issue we had was that the restaraunt can get extremely busy and a little hectic. It doesnt help when some people ignore queues and keep pushing in - THESE IS A LINE, SO JOIN IT!!!!

Apart from this gripe - it was Magical as usual!!!

It was our first visit to Disney World and we chose to stay in a hotel inside the complex of Disney World. It was worth stayng at Disney's All-Star Music Resort.
The bedroom isn't that big, but very comfortable. Next time we travel to Orlando, we'll certainly stay there again.
The king size bed is very good, the bedroom is clean and it has a beautiful green area sorrounding the hotel.

We stayed a a family and out a priority of early check in over room choice.

The room was small, obviously you are not staying there long, but it was a very small room.

The bathroom was dirty. There was a ton of "dust" on the shower head and the floor. There was a line to hang wet clothing in the shower, which was a plus, but the end that it connects to was upside down, so it did not work.

The resort was nice overall and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The food was good, but the food plan was annoying. The differences between the full service and quick meals was a pain.

The transportation was good, especially to the major parks. The other parks you will wait the stated 20 minute wait times.

Overall, not bad for our family. If we did it again we would go to a higher end resort
