“Expected More...”
Reviewed 2 August 2014

Upon arrival told room wasn't ready, but was in final expection and would be ready soon. Phone number provided to call when ready. Thirty minuets later I went to front desk to check on status of room. Advised room was ready (why didn't they call as promised?). Once we made it in the room it was VERY average. Nothing exceptional. Definitely could use an update. Now, on to the pool. Considering the fact that I paid $33 a day for a resort fee, I never expected the the floats for the lazy river were for purchase only; $7 more times three! Here's two pro's, pool was awesome and the transportation to and from the hotel was convenient. Day two... Woke up to hotel renovations! Major negative... One more thing... Room felt very humid at night. Never really felt like it cooled off! Overall, would possibly stay here again if all other options fail!

Nice hotel with very comfy beds and a great pool area, especially for kids.

Beware a ton of extra charges (tax, resort fee, parking fee, surcharge on Disney tickets) though. And $4 for the water in your room is just one of those things that gives chain hotels a bad reputation.

And NB the benefit of being next to Epcot and Hollywood Studios is somewhat limited by the fact the shuttle bus always routes via Magic Kingdom.

We are currently staying here as a pleasure trip to visit Disney with our 5 year old son. We chose it due to the Hilton name & it's location to Disney (not too near, not too far).

The hotel itself is as you'd expect; grand, airy & spacious whilst giving off a 'Hilton ' vibe. If you look closely however it's a different story.

The positives:

1) It's a great base for the Disney theme parks. Very clean, very shiny & with a free shuttle bus/buses to different attractions. Plus it's far enough away not to be too 'Disney'. A great refuge.

2) The pool area is lovely with plenty of sun beds , free towels, bar/snack (Beech) service & great lazy river.

3) Our room (a junior suite) is lovely & big & has great views of the pool, golf course & firework displays. Very pleased.

The negatives:

These gripes are somewhat trivial but important all the same. Some will view them as "first world problems" but I believe if you are paying a decent price for a world renowned hotel you should expect a certain level of service.

1) No- one offered to help with our suitcases on arrival. All other hotels I've stayed at have had a porter/concierge to take care of baggage. Important when you've travelled a very long distance to find a bed.

2) The room service/ housekeeping isn't great. They are constantly missing things & we are ringing everyday to ask for basic items (coffee sachets, creamer, clean glasses etc). Beds are made but dressing gowns are screwed up & left on the chair. We've also had an ongoing family joke about the 'mutant M&M' which has been left on the floor by the last occupants of the room (maybe even the occupants before that) and potentially shows the room isn't being vacuumed. We gave in yesterday & pointed it out so it's now been removed.

3) Food choices are limited. The Italian is lovely but very pricey. Beech by the pool is good with nice food options & not too bad a price. The Harvest Bistro has nice general food (burgers etc) but we had to request clean cutlery and napkins as they were dirty & marked. Children seem to eat free so it's very 'family' orientated in the evenings yet the colouring/activity booklet they give out has been the same breakfast & evening since we arrived and as it only consists of two photocopied pages it's quickly become boring. Not a great touch for a family hotel.

4) We had a note left in our room on Wednesday to say major renovation works would be starting in the main reception lobby & bar area that day. The building works haven't caused any major inconvenience or noise but it would have been nice for Hilton to point this out earlier, maybe at the time of booking or in an email prior to our arrival.

Overall it's a pleasant hotel & I would recommend it for its location & pool area. It just doesn't have the personal touch that I've always experienced with Hilton. Paying attention to these little things would take it from a pleasant hotel to an excellent one.

I recently stayed at the Hilton Bonnet Creek for a conference, and must say it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. The hotel itself is tired and dated and the service attitude was non-existent. On one occasion the door to my room was left locked open all day while I was at the conference - was lucky that any of my valuables were still there when I got back, and the worst part is they hadn't even finished the cleaning!

Offers a free bus service to the theme parks, so perhaps a good option for families. For business travellers, my advice would be to avoid.

I had a girls trip there last weekend and the hotel was amazing. The staff were all so great and went above and beyond to make our mini vacation relaxing. Jazmin was very friendly at check in, Dustin was an awesome poolside server, Jeff was hilarious and helpful when it came time to going out at night, and the manager, Kyle was so friendly, helpful, and courteous. He was the perfect gentleman! I look forward to going back very soon!

We waited and waited reapproached front desk and was told they were doing final inspection and room would be ready soon, we waited and waited then was told they were incorrect room wouldn't be ready for another 30 mins..1hour and 30 mins after we arrived ! After getting room keys I told them my family was in bistro eating and clerk asked me what she could do and I said comp my meal for the wait. She did after my request..
