“Hilton or Waldorf Property?”
Reviewed 11 June 2012

Tired of the Peabody's outdated rooms and size of their new tower, we opted for the new HIlton right off International Drive. As we pulled up, although the sign said Hilton, it surely didn't look like one.

The lobby is not only spacious, its cavernous. Check-in was OK but they didn't have the Hilton Honors window open and they didn't put us on a HH floor (had to request bottled water). There are 18 floors, two elevator banks for 9 floors, each with 6 elevators. So you are up and down quickly. The rooms are nice but with a bathtub instead of stall shower. And no balcony. But you quickly lose focus which property you are at when you descend to the lower level.

The spa is beautiful and the lockers rooms are huge. Fresh fruit, steam room and plenty of showers. But why they are closed on Sunday's and only open from 9AM to 7PM is a wonderment. The fitness room is open 24/7 and one of the best hotel fitness rooms ever.

Outside the spa is the pool area. As you walk outside you think you at a Vegas pool. The main pool area is for kids and features a big water slide, waterfalls, lazy river and water games. However, the best part of this Hilton is they have a quiet pool for adults with its own spa. There is also a huge outdoor bar with food available, putting greens, 1/4 mile walking path, pool table and Foosball table.

We ate outdoors at the cafe which is near the spa and overlooking the pool. This place is huge as well. The menu has everything including chopped salads and good sandwiches. There is also a steakhouse and sports bar. At night, the lobby bar opens up and serves $16 martinis which you help subsidize the piano player. But no nuts or salty chips are available.

If you are going to the convention center, you can walk over through a maze of overpass walkways but it will take 25 minutes. The Peabody is better located but that place has become too big to deal with.

There is also a coffee bar with mini-mart, good for families. As a HH member, they have a very nice lounge with continental breakfast (very good, but staff was unfriendly and food was not kept up with) and hot snacks between 5-7PM.

Overall, this HIlton is one of their best and worthy of a stay.

Room Tip: Floor 3 is convenient, pool side view.

We go to Orlando almost every month and wanted to try a new hotel. As you will see from my other reviews, spas and lazy rivers (pools) are the things that really make or break Orlando hotels in my opinion. The lazy river is smaller than at other hotels on my list, but it had some cool interactive water spouts and such that made it quite cool. They also have an awesome slide that we couldn't get enough of. The rooms are great and the toiletries are high quality. The breakfast buffet was expansive and yummy. They room service was good, but I do not recommend the rum raisin french toast because they mean RUM when they named it.

I didn't have a chance to try the spa, but I will be returning and I will review that next time.

I will say, I loved the pillows, but the beds could have been a touch more comfortable.

We've stayed here several times (sometimes it has been for one night prior to a flight and other times it has been for a long weekend). It is a large, clean hotel, with top notch service. The location is a short drive to the airport, and is within a short drive to all that Orlando has to offer.

The pool area is very large (lazy pool for the kids, regular pool for the adults, and several hot tubs as well). The hotel itself is very clean (rooms and common areas), the service staff is very well trained, and all this for a very reasonable price (compared to other AAA four diamond hotels in the Orlando area). The executive lounge is a nice treat, and is usually not very busy (at least not busy compared to other executive lounges we've come across).

This is our go to hotel when in Orlando. We highly recommend the Orlando Hilton.

We stayed in the hospitality suites, three rooms and it was phenomenal for a family of six. Incredibly clean, spacious and well appointed. The cabanas are a must if you are going to the pool, we love the comfort and privacy. Our teens really enjoyed all the activities on site, especially the pool and basketball courts.

The Hilton Orlando is an incredibly large hotel. There were various conferences going on yet it was rather quiet. In fact, I was there for a conference and I was able to take advantage of the restaurants, gym, the track, the basketball court, pool and relax by the fire pit. The gym is spacious with lots of workout equipment. Towels and a pitcher of cold water with lemons/limes provided. The staff were very friendly and courteous. I was there for work yet it felt like I had gone on a vacation. Although we could see Sea World from our hotel window, we could not take advantage of it with the weather (thunder storms/scattered rain). Thank goodness the hotel had enough to keep me engaged. If I wanted to play golf, I could have. If I wanted to take a float down the lazy river, the option was there too. There were families with children there and of course they loved the pool, it was a lively environment and it was perfect. Am I going back? Yes indeed and I am bringing my family with me.

Room Tip: There was no continental breakfast served. WiFi service available at a price (wish they would offer...

Hi! I stayed at the Hilton Orlando for Memorial day weekend. I had a Great time. The pool was packed but the Recreation Team handled everything so well! The traffic flow was smooth and was very pleasant. There was a pool attendant there named Seth who went out of his way to help us get some chairs and umbrellas. He was super friendly and professional and checked in with us from time to time to see if we needed anything. Just wanted to say thanks Seth, very impressive you rock!

This is the 2nd time I've stayed at this property (October 2011 and June 2012) and let's just say, I like it a lot. The hotel in Orlando is beautiful and the service it top-notch. Close to so many Orlando attractions but honestly, a rather quiet hotel. Because I'm a diamond member for HHonors, I received an amazing upgrade on my first visit. The hotel suite was approx 600 square feet. You can jog down I-Drive plus the area is full of retail and restaurants. Everyone at the hotel has already gone above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. If you're looking for an Orlando hotel near the Convention Center, I highly recommend staying at the Hilton Orlando.

Room Tip: Parking is $14/day if you're renting a car (just an FYI)
