“4 Day Getaway”
Reviewed 17 July 2014

Our family of 3 chose to stay here for a 4 day getaway after searching for a hotel with a lazy river on the way to Daytona. Reasonably priced (even after all the "add-ons': self-parking, resort fee, taxes). Front desk kindly accommodated an early check-in even on a busy holiday weekend. Facility is huge and well-kept. Pool, lounge area and lazy river are also large, but even given the size, all chairs were taken by the afternoon so get there early if it is a holiday weekend! Lots of amenities, including a fitness center, spa, basketball courts, badminton, putting green, pool tables, outdoor fire pit and pool slide. Nice to have several food options on site, but prices were high for both food and drinks. Covered self-parking is nice, but you do have to step out in the weather for a short bit to access the elevators from the garage.

Wifi access was a bit confusing. Before our trip, my husband researched and understood it was available for a fee. As a result, we chose to subscribe for a month of service on our iPad prior to leaving home, rather than pay $15 per day. However, the resort card I was given stated wifi was a "benefit". We did not inquire more about this since we had already spent the money for service. If we were to go back, I would check further.

Our room had plenty of space for us. Having two chairs for sitting was a plus. Refrigerator was small, but certainly handy. Television reception was a bit poor at time. Cleaning staff was accommodating and helpful when asked for additional coffee.

Perfectly located to allow for quick access to activities, restaurants and shopping.

This was an okay hotel-a bit older and not to the standards of other Hiltons we've stayed at- i.e. Hawaii and other resort cities. But the cost point made up for the average hotel (rooms are small) Pool and gym amenities were above average. Location of hotel also good for the attractions/retaurants we went to. As long as they keep the room costs fair-it's not a bad place to stay as most people spend their time away from the hotel anyway. Buffet breakfast was a highlight.

My family stayed at your hotel after a holidy cruise. Your hotel facility is the nicest Hilton property that I have stayed at. Plus, the pool and fitness facilities are second to none amoungst your peer group. We look forward to our next visit with you in the near future.

Our family stayed here for four days. The hotel grounds were amazing. Kids loved the pool, fire pits and lazy river. We played games and participate in the resort activities. This location is a perfect disconnect from all of the Disney hoopla.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hilton Orlando in late June. We arrived on a Sunday after they had just had a women's conference check out. It seemed like we had the resort to ourselves! We had excellent service the minute we pulled in until we checked out. My family enjoys coming to a resort with a lot of amenities and just staying put. We were able to do that at this Hilton. The pool area is huge and included water basketball, which we all enjoyed. There was also a water slide, and there is an adult pool on site. We never had a problem getting lounge chairs, and our favorite place to set up "camp" was over near the lazy river -- that was the main attraction for us. Our room was beautiful and the food choices at the Tropics poolside grill were good; prices were as you'd expect for a Hilton. There is Starbucks coffee on site, along with a marketplace to grab quick items. We didn't eat in any other restaurants as we ventured off-site to Downtown Disney/Universal City Walk for our evenings. We would definitely return to this resort, especially when we just want to be lazy and float around!

Room Tip: No balconies but we did have a pool view. We're never picky about the view as we really are onl...

My fiance and I were here for a four day weekend trip and were very pleased with our choice. The moment we arrived, the bellhop and check-in staff were kind and courteous. The room was clean and had a nice flat screen TV, coffee maker, and the bathroom was stocked with towels. We spent a lot of time in the pool area which is probably one of the hotels best amenities. Plenty of lounge chairs and they even have a separate pool that is designated for adults who want to enjoy a quite time away from the busy area which is teeming with kids. The hotel has a 24 hour little shop that has snacks, sandwiches and cold drinks.

I highly recommend this hotel but I will point out some drawbacks future guests should be aware of:

Drinks and food at the hotel are extremely pricey. For example I paid $14 for a Mojito at the lobby bar and tipped $2 dollars so I was in $16 for one drink. A chicken sandwich at the pool area will run you about $15. The couple of restaurants inside the hotel are even pricier as you can imagine.

Keep in mind that you will have to pay a daily parking fee and resort fee tacked on at check-out.

With those minor points, I still highly recommend this hotel and would return in the future if I have the opportunity.

We recently stayed at the Hilton for 3 nights. Check in was a breeze and every single staff member was so accommodating and nice, especially to our two sons (4 and 7). We had a hotel room that faced the pool and the kids loved waking up to see what was going on there in the morning. There were plenty of places to have breakfast as well as other meals. If you don't feel like paying hotel prices, there are several restaurants within minutes of the hotel at Pointe Orlando and there is a McDonalds and IHOP right down the street. There is also a Publix a couple minutes away and a refrigerator in the room should you want to buy some cereal, yogurt and milk and/or drinks. We chose to grab a quick breakfast at the marketplace, they have Starbucks coffee, bagels, oatmeal, croissants and other breakfast treats. Then we headed down to the pool and spent the day there. The kids LOVED the water slide and the lazy river! There is also an adult pool and spa should you be spending time there alone or as a couple. The Hilton also has two fire pits which we didn't get to use because it had been raining at night. We will definitely be returning to the Hilton.
