When you book the Waldorf, you expect a lot. My recent stay was for a business convention. The room was spacious and nicely appointed - beautiful wallpapers, tile and marble bath, layers of curtains, soft pads on firm mattresses, thick carpet. Spotlessly clean. Every amenity - from bathrobes and slippers to hair dryer and iron to chocolates and ice at turn down. The lobby is beautiful and comfortable. The bar offered places to chat and conduct business. The staff was friendly and professional. One thing that struck me was that when asked directions, the staff not only answered but also walked with you to get you started in the right direction. Very classy. I could not have been happier.

Pools and cabanas on premise.
Golf course visible from room - I presume it was available nearby if not on premise.

Complimentary Shuttle buses available to Disney attractions.
Mears Shuttle transportation available to the airport.

Room Tip: This is a 15 floor hotel. The view from the top floor is gorgeous. You can look out over the golf co...

The Hotel is excellent. Everything and everybody is at the top of their game. They really act as though your are their private guest and will do whatever to please you. You will love your stay at the Waldorf. This was my first experience and it takes a back seat to no other hotel.

You cant beat how nice this hotel is for the price. It's beautiful, classy, and one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. The hotel bar in the lobby is very inviting and the staff is superb. Great place to unwind and hang after a long day of theme parking. Management is very attentive. Very romantic and charming for couples or parents taking a vacation without the kiddos!

Stayed there for 10 days in April. We arrived to discover the hotel had been largely converted into a religious retreat. Over 90 percent of guests were there for passover. There were outdoor tents with loud music late into the night. We were on 15 th floor and could here everything. Complained a number of times but were ignored for 4 nights. Were able to move room after that. Also had to walk through a religious walkway every time we got our car. Very uncomfortable. They should warn guests in advance if the hoteal is going to be a spiritual retreat of any kind. Never again.

I stayed at the Waldorf for a week around Easter. The property was beautiful, the rooms were great. However, the positives really stop there. I am a diamond member and travel for consulting every week, making me very familiar with hotels.

The hotel staff was not helpful, I asked a question at the concierge about kids activities, I was told they would send information to the room, that never happened.

The pool is gorgeous, however the pool staff was not helpful. I asked for towels, there was no offer to help set up the chairs. The area was not cleaned.

Biggest complaint about the pool, ducks kept landing in the pool and swimming around. While that is a small concern, on one of the days the ducks kept pooping in the pool. Once notified, the pool staff did nothing about it. They said they would add chemicals and shut down the pool, but that did not happen. I was very concerned about letting my daughter swim in in after. I was more concerned about the lack of care.

The pool side food was ok at best, but the plates never got cleared. It would take a long time, and only when you requested for them to grab the plates.

Overall, gorgeous property, but the service needs help!!!!!!!! I stayed at the Ritz the year before, and there is no comparison.

Dear KK2Hotels,

We're so glad we had the opportunity to serve you and your family for the Easter holiday. We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed our property; as we continue to strive to provide luxurious environments for our guests. However, we're deeply disappointed that our service levels did not meet our high expectations. We are working with our team to address your concerns and offer additional training. We have also passed on your message about the duck issues to our facilities team and regret any discomfort this caused you. We hope we can invite you back to our true hospitality and demonstrate our commitment to your comfort.

Sincerely,

Jason Smith

I stayed here for short vacation with the boyfriend to visit family and have some fun at Disney and Universal. We loved the location. We went in January so the city was pretty quiet, no long lines, hotel was not overly busy. Very pretty décor, loved the lobby and the clock. We upgraded to a suite facing the Disney fireworks, unfortunately we were never in the room to enjoy the fireworks. Breakfast room service was wonderful. Make sure to make a reservation for Bull & Bear, it was very hard for us to get a dinner table as walk-in guests, we ended up sitting in the bar area one night for a late dinner. Front desk staff was okay, the door staff was wonderful (valet and doorman would run to open the door for you).

two reasons for not giving this property a five: our bed sheets were very itchy! there's this layer you sleep on that is made of down feather, the feathers poke you at night! I know other people have mentioned this as well in their reviews. I ended up asking the front desk to have housekeeping provide an extra sheet to put over the bed but this was never done. I ended up sleeping in a long shirt and long pants.

we decided to give Peacock Alley a try one afternoon since housekeeping was still servicing our room when we returned. I got my drink right away but it took 30 minutes for my boyfriend to get his Peacock drink. Someone (bartender?) came over to us and apologized that it was taking so long and said they will comp the drink. When we got our bill from our server, his drink was still on it. There was a lack of communication between staff members in both these incidents.

Overall, I enjoyed staying here. As a young couple travelling to Orlando, we didn't feel overwhelmed by children as one may expect when staying at a hotel on Disney property.

Room Tip: upgrade to the suite with the Disney view if you plan on being in the room at night.

Love this place and always enjoy the great pool and brunch. Little pricey and I am looking forward to trying their restaurant on our next trip. Nice getaway after a day at Disney and taking their shuttle to the parks is a huge plus.
