First I want to start off by saying our stay was delightful, the staff are courteous and friendly beyond measure and worked to meet our every need with the exception of 1 issue. ( I will explain towards the end) The Waldorf Astoria is a very good example of quality. The cleanliness of the room and hotel facilities impressed me. The breakfast buffet was more than ample. The location is minutes away from all of the Disney Parks. All great perks for this hotel.
My only issue was that “medical” equipment for my husband (which he needs daily) was misplaced and never located throughout our stay. It took a total of 5 phone calls, over the course of 4 days before a member of management was able to locate the “medical” equipment. It took for the Loss prevention supervisor John Weissmuller (who is very nice by the way) to get involved before the item was located. He shipped it to us by fedex within an hour of locating it and provided me with the tracking number as proof that it had been sent. While I know things are always lost, misplaced, or stolen when traveling, I expected more of a sense of urgency considering this is the Waldorf Astoria and also because it was “medical” equipment.More
