“Beautiful resort, great Florida getaway!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2011

My girlfriend and I spent three days at this all-inclusive resort near DisneyWorld. The grounds and beautiful public areas are amazing. First, the car valet service was very convenient ($23) with check-in fast and efficient. The rooms are great, completely remodeled in 2009. Flat screen TV, balconies, super-comfortable bedding, modern bath. The only complaint is that during remodeling the older style bath tub from the 1980’s was left intact meaning that you have to step high into it. We found house-keeping to above average. We utilized the pool area with pool-side bar. The pool is not heated, the water was pretty cold. We also noticed that being of an older design there is not zero-entry and the deepest part of the pool is over 6 feet deep. As part of the resort fee added to your room rate you have complete access to the pool, water craft, ping-pong, etc. All options were popular with lots of activity. In the morning we enjoyed the Starbucks coffee service in the lobby. We also enjoyed the sports bar for a burger dinner on two of the nights that we stayed. The room rates are extremely competitive and I look forward to staying here again.

Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to review our resort hotel. With all the amenities here on property and renovated comfortable rooms, there is no need to go anywhere else ! Just a note - our tubs are new soaker tubs that allow our guests to submerse themselves if they choose to do so. We hope you to see you again when choosing Orlando for a vacation getaway.

Before going to the hotel I wasn't sure if it was a good choice. But our stay came with multiple pleasant surprises. If we stay in Orlando, will definitely stay here.

I just stayedt there for one night. But had a great experience from check in to check out. Gym and spa were great. Not packed but still with enough machines if some others decided to work out. Only used certain services on food area and they were flawless but I did not order anything major. Pool area is great, as are the couple of bars I saw.

Rooms are big, comfortable, look and feel fresh with a new design, flat tv and balcony. My only suggestion to staff would be to check on mattresses every now and then. Maybe turn them around or over. Mine on the side which faced directly the tv, seems most guests choose that side, thus it is a bit hollow on that side. No big problem for me as I used the other side.
Self parking is a decent walk to rooms, lobby etc...keep in mind this is a big hotel resort style, so make sure you don't forget anything in your room or car, as it could be a few minutes to go and get it.

Overall very satisfied with all amenities the hotel has to offer and with the skilled staff they have. Also location of the hotel is close to everything. Plenty of restaurants, late night fun, and close to major highway access.

The hotel itself is nice, although it does show it's age in different areas - Our experience however was tainted by the incessant nickle and dining that we found at each turn. From the mysterious "hotel fee" to the perpetual included 18% gratuity and the tips expected by all attendants
Beware that the hotel rate you are quoted does not even nearly cover all of your hotel costs

Arrived at the Hyatt from a week at Clearwater in an absolutely amazing hotel. This hotel was more expensive and a lot posher. It is a HUGE hotel with 22 floors. The reception is Japanese style and even has a stream and 2 parrots! If you like modern and glitzy this is the place for you.
The bell hop who greeted us was very enthusiastic and showed us to our room on the ninth floor. Our room had a stunning view over the pool and lake, and you could see Epcot, Downtown Disney, and the magic kingdom in the distance, meaning we were able to watch the fireworks from our balcony at night.
We had breakfast every day - great selection of hot and cold, including a pancake/waffle station where the chef cooked yo your requirements (this was included in the buffet breakfast). The Cascades restaurant where breakfast is held is stunning and even has a waterfall!
Our car was parked in the car park (we parked ourselves to save money) and it was a bit of a walk back into the hotel, but you could either walk back through tropical gardens, or walk through an indoor conferencing space. Not much of a hassle.
The hotel is in a brilliant location, with the entrance to Disney very close, and across the road is a restaurant complex with TGI Fridays, other restaurants and a super market. Everything is very close actually, you're never short of places to shop or eat, so much choice.
Hotel pool is wonderful, although only used it once because we were out the whole time. The lake is lovely with lots of loungers and even hammocks nearby!
The room itself was lovely - big comfy bed, and great sofa with footstool, big tv, ipod dock and fridge. Shower is AMAZING! it has a overhead rain shower head as well as another head for washing yourself or creating more power. Shower cubicle huge too. Maid who made up our room every day was lovely - she was very creative with the towels! (i.e making fans and display platforms for the cuddly toys i bought at Disney!).
The only thing that brings this hotel down is the $22 resort fee (yes, gone up from $20) - we had planned for it though and saved money to pay it at the end but even more taxes and charges were added on and we ended up with a bill of $170 for 7 nights (just resort tax). This should be added to the price of the room when you book, its ridiculous.
Overall this is a very fancy hotel and tickes a lot of boxes but it lacked the warmth and holiday atmosphere of a smaller more friendly hotel...

Room Tip: Ask for a lake AND pool view room

Had the pleasure of staying at this resort for a family vacation with 2 teenagers. This property is adjacent to Disney and offered shuttles to all the parks. We actually chose to go to Disney only once this trip because we were having so much fun enjoying this resort so much doing all the things it offered - biking, golfing, tennis, pools with 2 water slides, paddle boats, sailing, kayaking, hot tubs game room and 24 hour fitness center. Can honestly say, no one was bored! Highly recommend you sign up for the Regency program which enabled you to eat a daily continental breakfast from 7-10 (fresh pineapple, strawberries, cantaloupe, honeydew, yogurt, granola, cold cereals, oatmeal, bagels, croissants, cold cuts, assorted breads, pastries and juices and a hot entree (pancakes or omelets), coffee, cappacino, tea, soda), followed by snacks and beverages from 11-3, then hor'douvres (hot and cold including raw veggies and dip, roasted veggies, bruschettas, cheeses and others that varied by day) followed by 7-9 desserts. This was no ordinary food - delicious, special and beautiful presentation. That's just the food part of it! You eat all of this on the 12th floor overlooking the beautiful Hyatt property as well as Disney's. We actually watched the Disney 4th of July fireworks from up the plus at least 10 other firework shows from all over the area while eating desserts and missing all the crowds - truly special. Lastly, there is a dedicated concierge at your disposal and two computers with printers. Only cons were we wished the beds were Queens instead of doubles although they were comfortable and while the pool chairs were plentiful on the property there was a shortage if you wanted one overlooking the pool so folks were getting up very early in the morning to try to get the pool seats. That said, we heard the property was sold out during the 4th of July weekend so that certainly added to the demand on seating and parking in the lot.

Room Tip: Rooms with the pool view overlook Disney and you can see the nightly Disney fireworks from your balc...

We stayed here for two weeks in May for our family break in Orlando. Hotel was fantastic, from check-in to checking out, staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was good size modern decor, and very comfy bed, we didn't use the balcony as not really child friedly for a very active 3 year old which wasn't a problem for us as air con unit kept the room cool. Room was cleaned daily and fresh towels provided daily. Our package included breakfast which had a very good choice and had something for everyone, we found staff serving breakfast were extremely friendly and very good with my little girl. The hotel grounds are lovely, my partner used the pitch and putt which he enjoyed. Daughter absolutely loved the pool, even though there wasn't a childrens pool as other people have commented on, this did not bother her in the slightist, each night she would ask to leave the parks early to go back to the pool. There are 4 hot tubs around the pool which are extremely hot but were very popular. We ordered room service on a few occasions which I thought was very reasonably priced and very good quality. Partner also played golf at the golf course which is a short drive along the road, which he thoroughly enjoyed, he got a reduced rate to play and hire clubs as a hotel guest, myself and daughter took courtesy bus to the golf club to join him for dinner which again was very nice. We also used the bus service to the Magic Kingdom, which was a 8 or 10 o'clock departure and there were 3 pick ups at night, if you wanted other parks you had to get a bus from MK to Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom or the monorail to Epcot. We did this to Epcot but as we had hire car tended to drive to the other parks. All in all we had a fantastic stay at this hotel, if has all the facilities you require for a wonderful stay. We will definitley return for future visits and have already reccommended this hotel to other friends.
