“Spectacular Proximity to Magic Kingdom”
Reviewed 6 August 2012

My husband and I recently stayed here for one night in mid July in a standard view deluxe studio room on the 5th floor. As other reviewers have mentioned, the proximity to the Magic Kingdom theme park is incredible. It took my husband and I ten minutes to walk from our hotel room to the ticket counter!
Pros
-Location, Location, Location...need I say more?
-The studio room was a great size, clean, and had great, modern decorum
-The pool and firepit areas were well-maintained and had a great atmosphere!
-Although we had a standard view room, we still could see the Magic Kingdom on one side, and part of the lake on the other....very nice, unexpected view!
-Upscale service from all staff members
-Higher end complimentary toiletries provided

Cons
The only inconvenience my husband and I experienced were the ants that appeared near our wet bar area the morning we were checking out.

Overall, having stayed at many other Disney resort hotels, this has quickly become a new favorite because of the high level of service received and the unbelievable proximity to Magic Kingdom...a real plus for families with small kids!

Spent 10 days here in May. It is amazing! I would say the best feature is the location. Being able to walk to and from the Magic Kingdom is a perk like no other. Rooms are immaculate, as is the entire property.... The pool is great and the grounds are perfect. While the decor is a little more upscale and "boutique-y", my kids 10 & 5 loved it as much as we did..

My family and I stayed at this very convenient and well appointed property this summer. The rooms were comfortable and the staff very attentive. The location of the hotel in Disneyworld is second to none. The monorail and bus are right there. But the cherry on the sundae is the ability to walk to Magic Kingdom. Super!!!!! There is a market to providing groceries and other supplies. The kitchen area has everything. I love this property will stay there again when I return to Disney World.

We stayed at Bay Lake Tower for the first time this trip. What a fantastic resort! Short walk across the bridge to the monorail and ameneties at the Contemporary Resort. There is a fantastic bar with an amazing view of the Magic Kingdom at the top of the resort called Top of the World Lounge. The rooms were clean and well laid out. The pool area was nice. We even enjoyed the waterslide!

Room Tip: Make sure to ask for a higher level room. We had one over looking the pool and Bay Lake and had a fa...

The Bay Lake Tower is like an 18 floor modern paradise. It can acoomadate any traveler with great rooms, dining, and anything else you can imagine. The pool area is also amazing. Whether your sliding down a winding slippery slode or just relaxing on the water overlooking Bay Lake, this hotel can fulfill your every need.

We stayed at BLT for the first time last week and couldn't have been happier! First off we had reserved a one-bedroom villa and were automatically upgraded (for free) to a two-bedroom upon check in. Having the extra bedroom was really nice for our family of 5.

The view of the Magic Kingdom was superb (we paid for a theme park view) and we caught the Wishes fireworks display from our balcony on 2 nights of our 7 night stay (you can tune your TV to channel 125 to hear the soundtrack that accompanies the fireworks display).

The whirlpool tub in the master bathroom was a lifesaver after walking the parks all day. Both my husband and I used it for purely medicinal reasons!

Though the hotel itself doesn't have a restaurant, there was room service, and the Contemporary is just across a footbridge (on the 5th floor) and has all the shops and restaurants you'd need onsite. Since our villa had a full kitchen, we had arranged a grocery delivery (through Garden Grocer) that arrived the day we checked in. We were on the deluxe dining plan, so we ate lunch and dinner out, but ate breakfast in the room every day. Perfect!

Being so close to MK was key. We took advantage of Extra Magic Hours until 2 a.m. on two nights and the monorail stopped running at midnight. A short walk back to the hotel sure beat waiting for a bus - even with three tired kiddies!

We were really concentrating on the four parks and didn't spend too much time at the hotel itself, but the pool was very nice and the kids really enjoyed the water slide! There were also plenty of other activities going on that we just didn't make time for - movie on the lawn each night, etc.

Bottom line - this hotel should be at the top of your consideration list when planning your Disney vacation. I'm sure there are less expensive places to stay, but you really get the whole package at BLT. Great room, great location, GREAT VACATION!

We have stayed at BLT multiple times due to its extremely close location to the MK! To be able to walk 10 min to the hotel is awesome! Especially with small children who still take naps during the day.
We have always stayed in the 2 bedroom suite and it is always clean and has the same amenities as u would have at home. Plates, cups, utensils, pots, pans, washer, dryer, etc.
Chef Mickeys is great for breakfast!
We really enjoy staying at BLT and plan on revisiting in the future!
