“Bad sandwich for a store that sells pretty much only Cuban sandwiches.”
Reviewed 3 August 2011

Don't waste your time. The quality of the food is low for a place with a very focused menu of only Cubans, Media Noches, and a few other items.

I ordered a Regular Cuban with a bag of Chifles (platanitos) for $6.23 after tax. There is a lunch special of a half sandwich with black bean soup for $4.95. The sandwich was about 7 inches.

The sandwich was low quality for a store that specializes in Cuban sandwiches. It was not bad or inedible whatsoever; it just wasn't memorable. The meat was simple store bought ham and had no additional flavoring or seasoning. Also, I counted only two very thin pickles and just the minimum amount of cheese. The ingredients were traditional.

I have had better quality Cuban sandwiches at chains like Bahama Breeze, Publix, and Cheesecake Factory. The best Cuban I ever had was in Puerto Rico at La Bombonera - made with real lechon.

“What you see is what you get!”
Reviewed 19 February 2010

No pretenses here ... a very good Cuban sandwich and good black beans and rice with onions. This is a blue collar working man's sandwich shop and is exactly would you would expect. Very few options but hit the spot for me.

“Atmosphere Reminiscent of Post-Revolution Cuba”
Reviewed 5 November 2009

This restaurant is located in a converted gas station on a very busy street. Reminds one of the run down condition of businesses in Cuba after the revolution. If you want to experience that, it might be worth a stop.

Although it has somewhat of a local following, it is nothing special. OK for sandwiches. Order and pay at the counter; food brought to your table. Basically a "workaurant" type operation.
