Stayed the weekend of July 11th while visiting family in the area. As the title suggests there was good, bad and ugly in this stay.

The Good: The room was very clean and spacious with a sitting area with sofa near the entrance and a bedroom/vanity in the rear of the room separated by a door from the sitting area. Add a kitchen (the room did have a microwave and refrigerator) and the room would be like a small apartment. All the furnishings were clean and in decent shape. The bathroom was spotless and appeared to have had a make over recently as the floor tile and the bathtub and wall tile appeared to be new and *not* a liner over an old tub like you see in a lot of places. The grounds were well kept and had some refurbishment going on at the time of my stay. The hotel is also in a good location with easy walking access to a number of restaurants and bars along International Drive and Sand Lake Road but far enough from them to be a quiet location.

The Bad: The wifi did not work my entire stay. When I finally got a number for the technical support (had to go to the front desk and get it from the agent), they (tech support) were of no help and used the excuse that there was a lot of users on the system. If that were the case, I still should have been able to access the internet even if it was slow - most times my computer just said connected to Quality Inn, no internet access. As for contacting the tech support, I had to use my cell phone to do so because neither phone in the room worked - no dial tone when picking up the receiver; even after connecting the phones to the wall properly (phone end of the wire was plugged into the data port on the phone). When I complained of the wifi issues at checkout, the girl suggested that the routers probably needed to be restarted. Why the tech support couldn't have done this while I was on the phone with him is beyond me - tech support at other hotels I have stayed at could do this. Also in the, "bad," category was the, "hot," tub which was luke warm at best and had a very weak flow from the jets. Maybe the fact that the water level was below that of the skimmer played a role in that. There was also a few leaves and a couple of insects floating in the hot tub.

The ugly: the elevators. I stayed on the 7th floor and the elevators leave a lot to be desired. There are two of them where the two wings of the hotel meet. Both were slow to respond to calls and were very shaky while travelling up and down. Several times when the elevator reached a floor, they would spend a moment moving up and down slightly several times before the doors would finally open. Several people that rode on the elevators when I did commented about how they operated. How they pass state inspection is a mystery to me.

In closing, for the price I paid, this place could be a great value if the owners would improve a few things like the internet and maintain things like the elevators and the hot tub better.

Room Tip: The higher floor rooms are quieter, but keep the elevators in mind.

The rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast is very basic, but for the price it's impressive any kind of breakfast is given. I've been a few times and will continue to stay in this hotel any time I'm in the area when going to Universal Studios - it's less than a 10 minute drive!

This isn't the best hotel but it ain't terrible. It's good for a budget trip to the theme parks. It's good to be able to get a cheap hotel when you are paying so much for the theme parks. They offer breakfast which is quite poor but still worth the money. It's amazing they can offer it at all. If you find yourself with time between going to all the parks then you can chill out in the pool at the hotel.

Went for the fourth of July weekend 2014 while the hotel is abit run down it on the other hand is half the price of most other hotels in the area and location. This one is slightly over a mile from Universal park and within walking distance to many restaurants. The suite we stayed in had two queen beds and a sofa sleeper in the living room and two TV s a microwave a mini refrigerator and a coffee pot. If you are a member of the hotel franchise you also get a discount and points. For the location alone was worth what I paid. Another plus they have shuttle bus service to allot of the famous local parks.

Upon check in I was pleased that the AC had already been turned on in the room. It was a large room (#123) on the first floor on the end. With that said AVOID that side of the hotel as there is a dinner theater thing that goes on VERY late and the walls are paper thin!

The drive time from the hotels to the parks is great, only about 20 minutes with traffic.

The built in furniture that is right when you walk in the door was in very poor condition. The bottom door was completely broken off and the rusty metal hinges were sticking out. There was food on and in the microwave (YUCK)! There was hair in the mini fridge (YUCK). The vanity light stobbed in long bursts. The bathroom had something on the floor, shower walls were moldy and the faucet constantly ran.

The breakfast line was way too long. Took over 15 minutes to make a waffle. Not great when you have hungry kids. The have plenty of seating, but not near enough food service area.

The locking security gates on the outside of the building would be great if they weren't broken. They did not close all of the way.

I let the staff know if the issues and they said thanks and continued on with whatever it was they were doing. Didn't even write it all down, so I'm sure it wont get fixed.

I would suggest paying a bit more and staying in a cleaner safer hotel.

Room Tip: Stay away from the main road, there is a lot of noise!

The location is so great, just off international drive, in the heart of everything. The hotel is nice and clean. It is showing its age and is in need of repair and remodeling. The grounds are so very pretty. The elevators are old and slow, only one was working during our stay. Unfortunately for everyone, guests and housekeepers, this was bad, since we all had to share and it's not that big. All of the rooms are suites which is really nice, our room had a separate living and bed area, which we enjoyed. All in all a nice stay, a good value.

This hotel was in a great location at Universal Studios, many restaurants in area and a quick hop to I-4 as well as other main roads in the West Orlando area.
The prices are great for an all suite hotel, however it was a tad 'worn' in the rooms. The sofa was very old but bed was great and everything worked, e.g. refrigerator, microwave, 2 TVs.
I saw no sign of any security either in parking lot or hotel area with bothered me. There was very poor service but the complimentary breakfast was nice, on time and good variety of choices.
The maid service seemed adequate but nothing outstanding. I only found one elevator for a 7 level hotel (2 side by side) which resulted in long waits at time. Great place for a family with kids.

Room Tip: Make certain you are getting a two room suite and certainly the higher levels are less noisy, the po...
