This was a great hotel, had the dining option and the restaurant here was great value and although busy we were always well looked after.... cant beat animals outside your room very magical. Only downside and not sure it was because we were unlucky but shuttles were quite random and a number of problems and hanging around and waiting....

Room Tip: Hardly in the room not worth paying lots more as you get good views no matter what

This was my second trip to Disney World and my first stay at a resort. I think it is a good place to stay if you have animal lovers in the family. We got a room with the Arusha view and it was pretty cool to look out your balcony and see a giraffe a few yards away. You have to use bus transport to the parks and that takes a little longer than if you stay at a closer resort. The Jambo House building is nice with pretty good dining options.

I don't have much to say that other reviewers haven't previously posted, but this place is simply magical. From the amazing customer service to the little details they have it all, definetely worth the money in my book!

This is great hotel to take children of all ages. Upgrade to a Savannah view room, for an awesome view of the wondering , giraffes, gazelles and zebras (many more animals as well). If you can, ask for a room on the 3rd floor. This is the main floor of the lodge and gives perfect views of the Savannah. The pool is large, and has a great waterslide. Our 6 year old loved the night vision goggle viewing of the animals. You will never get bored of waking up and seeing a giraffe wondering by your balcony. This hotel is the furthest from Magic Kindgom and Epoct, but the Disney transportation bus ride is at most 25 minutes.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the 3rd floor (main floor). Good views and no elevators to wait for.

We stayed here for our Honeymoon a few years ago and I never wrote a review so thought it about time! Was a visually stunning resort, the lobby is amazing! Rooms are beautifully themed and our view of the savannah was unbelievable. My only issue here is the distance to the parks, it takes a while to get anywhere on the buses apart from The Animal Kingdom. But overall a great place for honeymooners!

We decided to visit Disney world Florida and reviewed many hotels
And in the end decided to book animal kingdom, although not cheap we wanted to experience Disney at it's best
We were not disappointed one bit !

Great staff
Huge room
Views of giraffes wandering around
Superb pool
Great bar with real fire over looking animals

My only watch out is the new Disney wrist band which allows you to charge everyone in every Disney resort to your room

Great idea and really simple to use
Just remember how much your spending

The hotel itself would be a nice 3 star hotel, but when you throw in the fact that you can see giraffe and other wildlife from your balcony it moves it up to 3.5 stars. If you also add in the spectacular lobby and excellent service, you have a 4 star hotel. Convenient by shuttle bus to all the parks, although not as much so as some of the other Disney properties. The check in was very personal and efficient. The concierge staff was great; in particular there was a gentleman from Portland IN, I have forgotten his name, who was as good as any concierge as at a 5 star hotel.

Room Tip: Pony up for the savannah view, especially if you have kids in your group.
