Amazing course that mimics the Old Course at St. Andrews.
Pros: Service, conditions, amenities, wide fairways, elicits creativity
Cons: Pricey, greens too fast (12 on stimp), takes a bit to get used to double greens

Great mock up of St. Andrews!!! The stone walls, bridges, bunkers, water hazards are just like in Scotland. The double greens are interesting, but a pain to deal with when playing with not so accurate golfers. The shared fairways are so wide, but again shared. The course is good for the inaccurate driver and solid iron player. It's definitely worth playing at least once in your life...especially if you don't plan on making it to the real "Old course".

Our group of 8 played the New Course a couple of weeks ago. It is a fantastic links style layout consisting of wide fairways, pot bunkers, shared greens, etc. The greens roll very well and the entire course is in great shape. The staff is fantastic; from valet crew, proshop staff, to starters etc. Absolutely consider it if you are in the Orlando area. It is fun and very challenging. You won't be disappointed.

Second visit to play North and South courses. Layout is excellent and greens lightening fast. Took us 5 1/2 hours for the round though as a group of 24 hackers were out in front of us. We complained to course rangers 5 times and they did what they could. Professional was very apologetic and offered us a refund or free play. Service was excellent as was the bar atmosphere and food. Suggest playing early to avoid ensure pace of play acceptable.

Our group had never played a true links golf course and the New Course was a great course to experience. It's designed after St Andrews less the sun, heat & humidity and a fun course to play. The course was in excellent shape from the tee boxes to tricky fairways to the speedy greens. Fairways are wide open but don't be fooled with the mounds, bunkers, and traps. You do not want to caught in any of these. 7 holes on the front and 7 holes on the back are shared-greens and if you've never played greens like these, it can be a bit intimidating with other players on the same green. It takes a little getting used to.

The resort starts off with valet parking, excellent cluhouse, dining room, GPS on all carts, and a nice driving range. This resort also has (3) 9-hole "American" golf courses and they are challenging as well.

Our group played the New Course in the morning, had lunch in dining area (excellent), and played 18 holes on the East/North course. We would return to this resort and highly recommend you consider the New Course when golfing in Orlando.

This course is so well manicured and groom I felt like having a pick-nick in the fairway because the grass was so beautiful and plush. Yes it is a difficult course but when I play a course it is not to shoot just a low score but I enjoy the beauty of the environment around more than how well I play, especially if it is a great course. The facilities are great and the staff are very friendly.
If you have the opportunity to play this course it will be well worth it.
